I wished him a happy birthday with a kiss this morning before Adrian and Alexander dragged him out, to keep him away. Now the time had come and they returned. I took Jaxson to my room and told him to put on the suit I bought. He looked at me confused, “I don't have a good feeling about this,” he tried to hide his smirk but I saw the twitch in his lips, “Just put it on.” I said with a kiss on his lips. Maybe that would distract him. And it did. He took the suit and went to change while I also changed into my gown. It was long and black, with thin straps and an open back. I’d already done my makeup earlier and tied my hair into a bun, letting two strands fall loose by my face.

Everyone in the room got a fight from her entrance, even if it only way Maya, Jaxon's mother Maria and a few bodyguards. Juliette sauntered in, chewing on her bottom lip. They both growled which meant no room for argument as I sighed and nodded. Jason slowly pulled away as we both panted and tried to catch our breaths as Xavier's hands worked on my dress. "Okay now darling just step aside." he ordered and pulled the dress down as I held on Jason and stepped out of the dress. "Fuck yes!" Jason groaned out loud when he saw I was only wearing white lace pants. "Where are the rest of your clothes darling?" Xavier questioned as he went and put the dress on the couch.

A stabbing pain ran across my chest every damn minute, a perfect reminder of the drift between my mate and I. "You look stunning honey." Astra gushed when I went down to the living room. I opted for a simple bodycorn white dress with the middle chest cut out. I paired it with a golden bracelet Astra had given me and silver strappy heels. The women did a light make up that made my eyes glow. "Thank you." I forced a smile, dreading seeing Jaxon. He hadn't come home to prepare, my guess was he would attend it as he was. "Do you have it?" She asked, a twitch in her lips reminding me of what we had planned.

The kind that has enough layers to rival a wedding cake. “I am NOT wearing this!” I protest, waving the dress around like it’s a weapon of mass humiliation. “Oh, you think that’s bad? It’s that or this...” Zak, the traitor, holds up the worst thing I’ve ever seen—a see-through chemise. “And for the grand finale!” Jax joins in, lifting a male G-string like it’s some kind of prize. This is a new level of torment. “Okay, fine! Fine! I’ll wear the stupid dress!” I snap.

“Thank you! Your dress is so unique. Did you design it yourself?” Before I could answer, Jax appeared at my side again, sliding in like he belonged there. He’d been trailing us since we arrived, flashing that easy basketball-captain grin. “Actually, Maya designs everything she wears,” he said smoothly, placing a hand lightly on my lower back. “She’s a genius.” I shot him a sharp look and stepped away, shushing him under my breath. “Jax, not now.”

So she applied her skin care in haste. She put on her white calf length dress she used when she attended her colleagues wedding. "Madam, sir is already waiting for you," a maid startled Jade, making her jump. Startled by the maid's sudden appearance, Jade almost lost her balance. Thankfully she was able to hold the edge of the dressing table that helped her regain her balance. "I'm sorry, madam," the maid said, with teary eyes and a trembling body. Tyler's bone chilling gaze when he told them a while back that if anything happens to his wife they will be held responsible flashed in her mind.
