I replied as she rolled her eyes before she closed the gates. “You hungry?” Lea asked as I shook my head. “I had my fair share of lunch but there’s something important I have to tell you.” I said as we sat in the living room and Lea snapped her fingers before the TV turned on and all the curtains closed. “What is it?” Lea asked as I sighed. “It’s Hope. I saw her today.” Lea gasped at my narration as she came closer. “How? Where? We’ve been looking for her for so long.” Lea said with concern as she held my hand.

Avery nodded her head and replied, "I have knots on my shoulders, and maybe the massage will help me to relax. Are we taking Aunt Hope with us?" Aunt Bridgette nodded her head and replied, "Yes, let's go and fetch her." They found Hope sitting on the balcony in a daze. She was reminiscing about the past. Bridgette smiled brightly and said, "Hope, please come with us to the Beauty Spa. You have to be pretty for Clayton." Hope smiled and replied, "That's a great idea, Bridgette. I am so stressed; Clayton told me that his parents are coming here today. What if they despise me because of my background?"

Tomorrow is October fourteenth. They wake early. The October morning coming through the farmhouse windows in that specific slanted gold of autumn that makes everything look significant. James is at school. Lily is at school. Hope has university applications to work on — she applied early, three schools, the process running with the organized efficiency of someone who decided the shape of her future two years ago and has been executing toward it since. Hope appears in the kitchen at seven. Looks at them both. Reads the room. "Anniversary," she says. Not a question.

I hope everyone could also find the person they would be fulfilling their dreams with, someone who would make them feel whole and content with life. This is Jessica, finally signing off. :)

“You think your name defines you? It doesn’t. Your choices do. You could’ve walked away. You could’ve left the company, the war, all of it. But you stayed. That’s not a curse. That’s character.” Jason looked down, his voice breaking. “But what if I’m too late?” “You’re not,” she said, lifting his chin. “You’re still breathing. You’re still here. That means there’s still time to win.” He searched her face, trying to believe her, trying to borrow strength from her conviction. And in her eyes, he found the flicker of something real. Something grounded. Hope. Leah smiled softly. “Besides... you’ve got me.” A small breath of a laugh escaped him. “That’s cheating.”

Levy looks at me. “Give us a few more minutes please.” Levy replies nicely to her. “Sure, no problem. I’m Gisella, give me a shout when you guys are ready.” Off she goes with her hips swaying, no doubt for Levy’s benefit only he isn’t looking at her. His full attention is on me. “Am I going to be a daddy again, Harper?” My heart cracks wide open. “Would you want to be?”

Hope didn’t bother completing her statement because it’ll only make it obvious that she was upset. “I just don’t want you to feel like we didn’t care, that's why I came to your room to see you before heading out with Daniel.” Hope eyes opened wider than normal when she heard what Liliana said. “You are heading out with him?” She asked curiously. Liliana nodded her head excitedly. It seemed like everything became okay with Kaylee’s absence and somehow Hope was beginning to regret telling Daniel to sign the paper.

“Damned statute of limitations. But believe me, if he doesn’t keep his nose lily white from now on, he’ll be very, very sorry.” If Elroy could have seen the hard glint in Jason’s eyes, he would’ve been certain to keep said nose pure as ivory. “At least his political career is kaput,” I said. “His days as a ‘beacon of truth and light’ are over.” I stopped talking, examined my feelings again. Still no exhilarated relief. What was wrong with me? “I should go,” Jason said. “Good luck, Jessie. I hope you find what you’re looking for.”

‘Stop trying to make me have hope, Lev; he is gone,’ she whispered in between sobs. ‘And what if he isn’t? If there’s a chance that he’s still out there, you’ll cost us our one chance at ever finding him. We won’t survive out there, Jade, not this time. Reign can keep us safe; he can help us find him, and we can’t keep running. We won’t survive another week out there,’ I reasoned with her but she shrugged like it didn’t matter. ‘That’s the point, Lev; I know we won’t survive out there. Do you think we deserve to live after we lost our pup? What kind of mother does that make us?’ Jade argued and I kept quiet.

His eyes literally lit up the moment he mentioned Haley's name. Hope the assistant didn't have a thing for his wife. The stupid guy always appeared happy whenever Haley's topic was brought up. Liam wasn't a kid not to notice that. He'd only chosen to ignore it in the past, but now, he couldn't ignore the burning jealousy. Well, Joye would know where to draw the line. Otherwise, he might not only lose his job. “Great!” Joye exclaimed. “Madam seems to have forgotten about her jewelry design assignment. The wedding is near, I'll get to remind her.”
