Jake mumbled as Danika dragged me inside with her. “No wonder, you guys are close. He is a lot like you. He understands you. Now spill everything because I know that man is not gay and I can say that just by the number of times he looked at your cleavage.” She says as soon as we are out of earshot. I look at her for a second but she was very serious. She looked like she was capable of killing me if I lied to her. I breathe out knowing I have to tell her the story leaving out the spy-CIA-Jason Statham thing.

I believe there was something going on with Boyd but with him incapacitated, I don’t know how much further they will go. As I lean closer to Colby, I feel his hand on my knee. Wanting to just escape and be with him, I know I need to meet with Alpha Corey to get to the bottom of this. He has been cooperative since our first interactions, and I can only hope he will continue to be as we move forward. He has more to gain by supporting our efforts than not.

“Is that so? Harvey showed a faint smile before snapping his fingers. “Looks like you were right after all, Elder Cobb. “The person who poisoned you has been the one you held most dear!” An exhausted voice could be heard from inside the store. “A woman’s heart is always the most vicious…” Julian York and Irene Johnson were seen pushing out an elderly person in a wheelchair. Katy Cobb was ecstatic after seeing that person. “Grandfather?! You’re awake?!” She pounced into Dean Cobb’s arms with tears of joy. Dean merely smiled. “I wouldn’t be able to see such a spectacle if I didn’t wake up.” The crowd was utterly shocked. ‘The God of War’s awake?!’

“No! I’m fine. Just a little low on blood sugar level, I guess.” Zayn felt bad for her, but before he could offer any help, Faye’s guests rose from their seats on the couch and regarded them formally. The woman began, “So this is your husband, Fifi? I see he’s checked both talent and looks!” Faye nodded before turning back to Zayn. “These are my friends, honey. This is Jane Scotts. She’s a classmate of mine back in elementary school who’s also a resident in Barrow Cove. We chanced upon each other just the other day!” she introduced, “And this is her husband, Grayson King.”

She excitedly tells me, her strawberry blonde curls bouncing around her heart shaped face. Christine is really a lovely lady. She is short, probably barely five feet tall, and dainty. Her facial expressions are quite entertaining, her freckled nose crinkled up and it wouldn’t take an empath to tell that what she was thinking about was icky. Confused, I gawk at her. “Warrior?” I ask. “Yeah, Bobby Ray told me that Deputy Scott found your camera and there was a video of you kicking the shit out of those two guys.” She explains.

How dare you try to trap me?’ Seeing that Jay had frightened Zayne, Angeline hurriedly dragged him out. “Jaybie, you should go and see your little assistant.” After Jay left the living room, Zayne got up from the floor and wiped the cold sweat off his forehead. Cole did not sympathize with him at all. “You asked for it. Knowing that he’s not your opponent, you still went ahead and messed with him. You were overestimating yourself.”

Coco could not recognize the stranger, but she was definitely not a familiar face. From her question, she might be acquainted with Lucas. "I am," Coco replied. "And you are?" The stranger took off her mask, and Coco immediately recognized her as Jayce Tyler! Jayce had risen to fame about ten years ago. Although no longer as popular as before, she was still active on TV in supporting roles. "Hello," Coco greeted her. "You must be Jayce. I've seen your TV shows."
