We turn back to face him. “I would like to know what you were referring to,” he states, his voice hardened. “Why, you said I was sending you to die.”

Blood was trickling from his head and entire body, but he insisted he was pretty fine. “He killed himself,” Gray shook his head as he recalled his last conversation with the King. He was leaning on Sierra as they walked out the smoke. “We won this fight.” He grinned stupidly before he passed out.
