Pandesal is a kind of bread. I reached for what she was carrying and bent slightly to make an eye level to her.

Damien said, his voice sounding incredibly soft yet terrifyingly hollow. The woman swallowed hard, her small hands clutching the edge of her dark robes as she tried to maintain her composure under his intense scrutiny. "My name is Jasmine, Alpha Damien, and I have served the secret order as the primary scribe for the last twelve seasons," she answered, her voice trembling slightly with an underlying fear that she could not entirely conceal.

She looked up at him confused. “I, Jesse (whatever your last name is), pledge myself to the Shadow Pack.” She looking up at him tears starting to fall from her eyes. She repeated “I, Jesse Martin, pledge myself to the Shadow Pack.” “I, Damon Adams, Alpha and protector of the Shadow pack, accept your pledge and bestow upon you the honor and loyalty our pack has to offer.”

Stille laid over the platform. Nova and Silas stared at me unconstitutional. Kael approached me half a step closer, his hand instinctive near his Sword handles as if he wanted to cut the hologram. “Help?” I repeated. My voice sounded small in the gigantic hall and unsafe. “I am Jada. A scrap collector from Ouroboros. I have no idea what you are talking about.” The hologram reacted liquidly as if Vance spoke to us in real time.

Leia smiled. “No, my queen.” Chanda fell to her knees, bowing her head to the ground. She looked up to see Fang standing and pulled him down to join her on the ground. “You, dumbass. That is Velkan’s mother.” She whispered in his ear. “Please don’t.” Leia said. “You don’t have to kneel. The courtesy is more than enough. Please rise.” Fang quickly stood while Chanda hesitated. “Please, child.” Leia touched her shoulders and Chanda stood.

She had let down her guard, and now she would pay. “Yeah, she’s a big one.” Joe nodded. “We figured one dart would be enough . . . took two.” He ran his hand over her side. She attempted her most terrifying growl, but it sounded more like a sickly, low moan. “Maybe 110pounds, more the size of a gray.” He chuckled. “I know, I know, I told you she’s big. No, not fat. Lean as they come, just longer-legged and longer bodied, and she has the prettiest red pelt you ever did see.”
