There was only the next step, the next patch of illuminated dirt. Then, the quality of the darkness ahead began to change. It softened from absolute black to deep grey. She of course, has her own cart full of enough alcohol to fill a bar at a nightclub, while I grabbed odds and ends, household necessities, stuff to make meals and of course, loads of snacks...fruits, veggies, and lots of processed junk that will no doubt go straight to my butt, but whatevs.
