Some day she is one of the intelligent students of WWS. Though we had a lot of difficult times together, she had always stayed by her friends with loyalty. During her last years, we have become close. She and I shared a sister bond. I missed Junnie all these years as she had become my best friend in WWS. But Jenny had never made me miss her that much by staying by my side.

One especially infuriating thing about Kieran Darjee is that she thinks she knows every fucking thing. She thinks she knows exactly how I feel and what I think. If she’d bother to ask every once in a while, she’d know just how wrong she is. Disregarding however I might feel about her, why would I not want her to be at the celebration? She’s been my best friend since we were kids and we’ve always gone to the celebration together, so why would that change now? We’ve let bygones be bygones and are choosing to ignore the fact that we were estranged for two years, so ideally, nothing has changed between us. Or am I expecting too much?

POV JEANNE "Jeanne ... hey Jeanne ...?" I flinched when I felt a pat on my arm. I turned and saw my best friend staring sullenly at me. She is Lily Hayes, my best friend since middle school and now we are 25 years old. We chatted casually in my bedroom — a penthouse located in a luxury apartment building in downtown New York. She just kept trying until I gave up and accepted her friendship.
