"Nice to meet you," Collen quickly took my hands and shook them. My hands fell limp to my side. "Is everything okay?" Hannah asked, her green eyes searching mine. "Yeah, just that um, I was about to go to bed when you came," I lied through my teeth. My heart was beating not just within my chest but I could hear it in head. This was the first time I had lied to my best friend in all our twelve years of being friends. "Oh, I was hoping you could stay up with us to watch a movie."

Bec added. “She killed Luna's best friend too,” Jenny said. My first and last best friends; Eva and Lily. “That's why you need to leave her mom,” Bec said taking a step forward. “Don't listen to them!” A voice from within her said with a growl. “They're telling the truth!” Jenny shouted and held her head, wincing in pain and growls came from within her.

"Speaking of school, I made a new friend today. Her name's Jennette." Henry's eyes brightened at the mention of a female friend. "Finally, a female friend, huh? Not a fan of Jason?" I smirked playfully, teasing him. "Are you jealous of Jason or something?" He chuckled, shaking his head. "No, it's just good to hear that you're making friends outside of... Jason." I couldn't help but laugh at his attempt to hide his obvious concern. "Don't worry, Henry. Jason's just my course advisor."

Actually doing it was another. Every time Gaspare finished with a lover, he would call me to clean up the room. I wondered which one it would be today. Lily? Or Celeste, who had come last month? Jennie took a hot shower, got dressed, and made a call to her best girl pal. "Hello, Susan. Can I visit you at your office? I am going insane with guilt, and I need to chat with someone regarding my sins. And Susan, it's you that comes to mind when I think about confessing. Also, you and Steven are the only actual friends I have. Plus, Steven is out of the question because he will despise me before Jackson can have the chance to reject me. If he discovers my secret." Jennie explains in a haltering and fast tone.

"My love, why are you keeping your new relationship a secret from me? What have I done to deserve this? Aren't I your best friend?" When Tyler saw this message, he thought Ava would continue sending more messages. He quickly typed back, "Don't worry, I will get back to you. I'm really sorry, you're still my best friend. When we meet in person, I'll explain everything. Please don't text me again, I'm perfectly safe." A few minutes later, Ava was still in the sitting room. When she saw her dad coming, she stood up and showed him the new message, saying, "Look at what Charlotte sent again."

Jethro and Renee have been best friends since kindergarten and they are inseparable, much like Lou and Elijah in the early years, but the former were different from the latter.
