Sarah Killian: The Marching Tides
I spin around, afraid it will wake Jason—I am not ready to confront him about this, yet—but he just groans and rolls over, still sound asleep.
I cross to the nightstand and pick up Jason’s phone and see from the pop-up notification that the alert was a text from Frank. Jason, for better or worse, is smarter with phone security than Chuck had been and has a passcode set. But I know Jason well enough that I’m able to take an educated guess: 4815162342. Jason’s favorite T.V. show of all time was Lost—as for J.J. Abrams’ T.V. career, I lean more toward Alias, can’t imagine why . . . Sure enough, the enigmatic string of numbers from the T.V. show works, and I open up the text from Frank.
