His eyes jerked open at their own will, even as he laid sprawled on the floor in pain, grunting and writhing, wishing there was a way, a spell even, to do away with the pain instantly. He had thought that the former wolves that had wanted to attack him were big, but now, compared to the big black one, he thought that they were a bit small. As Jenna and Logan celebrated their victory, they suddenly heard a loud roar coming from the forest. They looked up and saw a huge, black wolf standing at the edge of the clearing. The wolf's eyes glowed yellow, and it snarled at Jenna and Logan. Jenna felt her heart skip a beat. She knew that this was no ordinary wolf—it was an Alpha werewolf, and it was here for revenge.

However, the fur of his neck and chest were a different colour, they were white, like that of his mother's. His ears were slightly forward, listening. His paws threaded with finesse.

Four wolves circled me now, snarling. They were coordinating their attacks, looking for openings. I backed up until I felt Erica's small body behind me. I couldn't protect her and fight at the same time. Not against this many. Then, from the darkness of the trees, something moved. Fast. Silent. Deadly. A wolf I'd never seen before launched into the circle. He was huge—nearly as big as Leighton—with dark grey fur that was almost black. His eyes were a strange silver-blue color that seemed to glow in the darkness.

However, as I touched his face again, he suddenly went berserk, his muscles bulging, and black fur sprouting from his skin. In my astonishment, he broke free from my bindings and once again pinned me to the ground. "Woman, you should mind your own business. Interfering will only hasten your demise," he growled lowly. His hand tightened around my throat, his nails elongating and sharpening, piercing into my skin. I felt myself almost suffocating, my vision starting to blur. "You... you're a black wolf?" "Little wolf, I appreciate your saving me, but soon you'll be joining me in hell," he sneered coldly.

We transform and start growling. "Back off, this is our territory," I say in an alpha tone. However, I don't think it will make much of a difference. He must be from the legendary pack, and fear takes hold of me at the thought. My wolf has been jumping with joy at finding her mate, but I refuse to believe it.
