He could not believe that Dwight was a member of the Viper’s Den. Nevertheless, Dwight seemed genuine in expressing his thrill. Edmund became curious about him.

Dwight’s POV The hum of the jet is steady, a low vibration that fills the silence. But Dwight isn’t listening to it. He’s gripping his phone so tightly that his knuckles turn white. Two workshops. Gone. The first call had been bad enough—a fire, a total loss. But the second? That was no accident. He knows it deep in his gut. He leans back in his seat, staring at the glass of whiskey untouched on the table before him. His mind is racing, threading through every possibility, every enemy he’s made over the years.

He was neutral, all he judged was their characters. And Dwight seemed to have a thing for his sister Ruby and he didn't like that at all. Because he knew that Aidan was hurt and jealous seeing him with girls especially Ruby, and Dwight also seemed to be having a thing with one of Tracy's minions... Sian, was it. Argh so frustrating. Dwight glanced at Jed speechlessly. “Even if we wait here obediently, can this stop them from finding us?” Jed was trying every possible way at a time of crisis and was not thinking straight. He wanted to cause trouble when he saw people chit-chatting. What Dwight said immediately stopped Jed from speaking. Jed was so embarrassed that his face and neck flushed a crimson color but he was unable to refute Dwight.

“Do you want to have a little party tomorrow? You know to celebrate your birthday as well as your shift.” Austin shook his head. “No, dad. I don’t what that.” Dwight nodded. “I understand. You can go.” Austin nodded too and walked out of the office. Since Amanda’s disappearance, Austin has never celebrated his birthday. Dwight just thought he will want to celebrate to honor his shift but Austin doesn’t want to. Dwight stood up and walked to the window. He thought of his mate again and his lost daughter. He wish he could have the both of them back in his arms especially his mate.

Jade looks to me. “Hmmm… I think I can talk him into it.” A smirk grows on my face. After what feels like 15 shots between the three of us, we head over to our mates. Even Dwight frowned looking at him sternly, unable to grasp his moves. "Dwight!" Jack and Devon uttered, carefully with an asking look on their faces. "I-I don't know!" Dwight mumbled, shaking his head. "You are just like your crazy sister who cheated on us! I know you weren't my wife now! It was really your damn sister!" Windle bleat pondering what to do next.

Then I insist, my voice low and persuasive, "Oh, but we do. You love Anastasia, I love Hugh. While Anastasia and Hugh love each other." Dwight's slit eyebrows jerk in realization. "Let’s work together," I declare firmly. "To ensure that our mates remain ours until the end." Unexpectedly, Dwight's lips curl into a smirk, a hint of mockery dancing in his eyes. He then retorts, "Is that so? Are you not confident in your relationship with Hugh? After all, you're the one getting married to him." My smile remains unchanged, my composure still unwavering in the face of Dwight's mockery.

“You look pale.” “I’m fine,” Dawn replies too quickly. “Just tired. It’s been a long few days.” He studies her for a moment, concern flickering in his eyes. Jim has always been observant, attentive to the people he cares about. And he cares deeply about Dawn. Not as a sister-in-law. Never that. To him, she has always been his own sister. He chooses not to push. He will ask later, when she looks stronger. “Well,” he says lightly, trying to ease the moment, “I heard Tiara’s coming home today. How is she?”
