Dropped from Heaven

Dropped from Heaven

The streetlights cast a warm, dim glow over us, stretching our shadows long across the cobblestone. He muttered the entire way, and he finally stopped walking and cleared his throat, his expression so solemn one would think he was making a sacred vow. "Serena, I learned a saying, ah… Come hell or high water, I would go… For you…" His azure irises were filled with sincerity, and though he was so clumsy that I almost laughed, I couldn't help but feel the warmth in my heart. Just as I was about to reply, a shadow barrelled out of the alleyway nearby, smashing into Steven with a punch to the side of his face and the scent of alcohol.

she whispered and smiled happily. “Mon amour, you gave me the entire Universe. Tonight, I’m going to take you to the edge of Heaven. Again, and again.’ And that was all that needed to be said. - THE END -

Absolutely loved this intelligently written story that conveyed love doubt, fears, passion, mature adults who are trying to manuever into a new reality for the themselves personally, as well as, including another who is the object of their love and possible future life & potential happiness. 😍😚❤🔥

Picked this out to read again...yup, you will pick out Emma's books and reread them again & again! Love Cass & the path she takes to realize what she is capable of, when to trust and who she can love; most importantly, that she can be loved right back by a man with his own emotional story woven in.

A Second Chance From The Heavens

A Second Chance From The Heavens

“Please… stop calling me that.” Matthew was looking at her in surprise. “What do you…” “Stop calling me by that nickname!” Allison cried out, letting the tears finally fall from her eyes. “We’re not lovers anymore, Mattie… you have to stop calling me that… just…” Suddenly, the world swam before her eyes. It was as though the room was spinning, the ground tilting its way to meet her. Her body felt like it was burning, the heat spreading throughout her limbs like wildfire.

Dream On

Dream On

Kris didn't want to seem needy nor desperate. Kris sighed, deleting the two letters and closing the massaging app. She would have to get her answers another way. She didn't want to lead on Liz and give her false hope. Kris was in a happy relationship and didn't want to jeopardize that. At least, she told herself she was happy. She wasn't sad or hurt. Kris was content for once and her tattoo business was really picking up speed.

Also, Rissa played along, and the most painful of it was Liam Hickson referring to his past marriage with her as “eating in the wrong restaurant” A metaphor that amused him, the interviewer and the audience at large. Diane Donaldson was the wrong stop in his life, he had affirmed. To further infuriate her, that Rissa was always an angel that could save any demon and they share a mutual respect for each other now. “Fucking hypocrite!!!” Where was she heading towards now? Everyone she knew had deserted her? Had she accepted the other party’s offer, at least she could have been a proper devil without conscience.

Heaven’s Forbidden Flame

Heaven’s Forbidden Flame

And it spread. Through cities, through islands, through every place touched by the storm, the message moved. “They’re here.” “Heaven has sent them.” “Pray.” Screens lit up across the country. News channels broke into live coverage, cameras focused on the storm, on the ocean, on the two figures standing above it. Millions watched. Many prayed. Above the sea, Kaelith glanced downward, his expression shifting slightly. “They’re staring.” Aurelian remained still. “They are witnessing.”

Never Surrender

Never Surrender

We chose a quiet restaurant. "Blaze, thank you so much," I said sincerely, raising my glass. "You managed to do it because you're capable. I just provided an opportunity." He clinked glasses with me.

The Luna He Sacrificed Was His Real Savior

The Luna He Sacrificed Was His Real Savior

he had whispered against my hair, “from this day on, you are mine to protect.” We had loved each other once. So deeply that I had believed nothing in this world could tear us apart. So why had we become this? Then voices crashed back around me. “Her pressure is dropping.” “Her wolf is failing.” “Prepare the shock array.” Healers rushed around my body, but I felt myself growing lighter and lighter, as if something inside me had already broken loose. I saw the pulse-light on the monitor flare, dim, and finally flatten into a cold, straight line.

Forgive Me Goddess For I Have Sinned

Forgive Me Goddess For I Have Sinned

Although she would be doing so later with the rest of the sister’s, it never hurt to say one extra for good measure. "May peace and light wash over this land, in your name, amen." Amelia finished smiling as she turned and hurried along her way. "Our Goddess Mediocris, we praise thee." Sister Rosario’s voice echoed around the chapel. "Bring forth your light and let it wash down on all of us sinners. Let it bless those in its path, let it heal our illnesses, let it bring peace across the land of Pacificus." "In your name we pray, amen." The congregation echoed before rising.

HEAVEN OUT OF HELL

HEAVEN OUT OF HELL

she said softly, wiping away a tear, “I didn’t think you could still hurt me. Well, you’ve done the impossible through your son. He continued from where you left off. I defended you in front of everyone saying that you were like this because of the tumor, but we both know that it wasn’t so. You’ve chosen to become evil, you’ve chosen your dark side, pushing my love, my understanding, my respect out of your life. Even if your life wasn’t always righteous, you’ve always been my hero. But, at sixteen, you showed me that heroes don’t exist. That love can’t save a person’s soul, that you never wanted me as your daughter. At sixteen, I became your cleaning lady, your personal maid, the nurse who w

Overall, I enjoyed this book with the story of the Graysons &the central story of Isabelle & Shawn. The plot line for them did improve from book 1. It could use some better proofreading & attention to grammar. The Nathaniel kidnapping Stephi bordered on absurd, so basically skimmed that.

EXCELLENT!!! Except for a couple of typo errors, this book was amazing. Full of intrigue, suspense, love of characters made this book so great. The preequal to this book is also a great read. Love Emma Swan's books.
