At the time, Joey's mother was pregnant, and the shocking news caused her to go into premature labor, resulting in her giving birth to Joey's brother, who had health issues. Joey's mother had a difficult delivery. Although she survived, she fell into a deep depression and sadly passed away a few months later, leaving behind young Joey and her brother.
