End Game

End Game

“Let’s finish the game.” “He better not start anything,” Declan muttered as we all moved back to our positions. “He won’t,” I cut in quickly. Jackson raised an eyebrow. “How do you know that?” “He just won’t, okay?” I insisted Or at least I hoped so. Jackson didn’t look convinced, but he dropped it. The game resumed, loud and chaotic, but my focus wasn’t really there anymore. Every serve, every laugh, every shout blurred at the edges. Because even when I wasn’t looking at him—I could feel him.

End Game

End Game

His knee gets me in the gut and I gasp from pain. “Did I hurt the baby, Aunt Winnie?” he asks, blue eyes wide with fear. “No, it takes more than that to hurt her,” I assure him. After the doorknob incident, I know. “You have to be careful,” Wes tells him. “That’s your cousin in there. Give her a few years and then you two can play.” “I don’t want to play with a girl.” Jackson makes a face. “Girls are gross, and I like boy stuff!” He jumps back off me and pretends to shoot things.

I'll have to take her word for it. "Ooh! I want a giant churro!" Geni says and practically bounces into the vender line. "You want one?" "Sure, as long as they have margaritas, too." She snorts. "It's a soccer game. Of course there are margaritas." As we wait, I keep people-watching. I've never seen so many flags and foam fingers and noisemakers in my life. The sound is almost deafening. I lean over. "Is it always this loud?" I yell in her ear.

THE GAME

THE GAME

"Everybody wants to play the game, except for you. Is just a game and nothing more. She voiced out and i felt a little embarrassed. " come on daisy! Kelly nudged me again." I took a quick breath. Is just a game daisy; you can do this." I assured myself. " Okay am in." I voiced out "Hey! What's your name? A boy asked the girl standing. " Call me Tala." She said and tore a piece of paper from a book on the table. So am going to give a brief summary on how the game is. The rules are, you will pay a certain amount to any question you fail to answer. Or play a dare if you don't have the money." She said and i felt scared about the whole thing. Oh heavens!

The Game

The Game

I drift off to sleep on the plane on the way back to Texas, only to awaken after having a very vivid dream or maybe I should say fantasy of Drake. I pour myself a drink and try to relax. I decided to change clothes and freshen up, just in case Drake met me at the airfield. Silly how I have to remind myself this is all just a game. I catch myself wanting him, wanting to please him, wanting to give myself to him. I have to remember that I want to hurt him, make him regret how he treated me. Lila, my wolf also reacts to Drake so strongly I constantly have to reign in. I continue to sip the burning alcohol that I am drinking, my excitement continues to grow at the thought of seeing Drake. Lee replied. Carla smiled as James fist bumped Lee. "That was hella smooth, man." James grinned and Lee rose an eyebrow and smirked at me. I pulled away from Carla and rolled my eyes. "Alright, don't give him a bigger ego than he already has." I said as I smiled at him. "Aww, babe! Come on." he whined but pulled me into his side as the elevator stopped and we got off. "Can we meet up later? Maybe try out the pool?" Carla asked.

I am super excited to read more. I wanna learn about the special powers Willow has and find out whom she chooses in the long run. There's definitely a love/hate relationship between her and Dean. I feel bad for him but at the same time, I really like Lee. Hurry up with the new chapters already!!

This was a fantastic story! Well written, flowed well, and loved the different POVs. Definitely had some twists and turns throughout with a few sad moments, but also had some beautiful, loving moments as well. Also happy with the epilogue & how it tied everything together. Nicely done author! 😊

The Mafia Game

The Mafia Game

‘Aleksis Agustus, Chief Executive of Octagon Solutions’ How shameless of her husband to say he was fired from a company he owns? A flicker of excitement rushed into her eyes. All these years, Sierra has tried to dismiss the world she grew up in. The rush and hunger for danger were pulsing through her heartbeat. The same way it would always do whenever she was given a task. There was no need to ask who would play this game better. She knew damn well who would be a better player. All she had to do now was plan her way to make Alek feel like winning, and just when he got a hold of the trophy, she’d sneak in and snatch victory away from him. Maybe kill him. Well, that would be optional.

A GAME OF LIES

A GAME OF LIES

And yet… she couldn’t forget the way his lips had felt, the way her body had betrayed he and--Damn it! Her phone buzzed again. ‘Keep going, honey. Remember all he’s done to you and never forget that your revenge is a must.’ Amira swallowed hard, her pulse hammering in her ears. Three months left. That was all the time she had to play this dangerous game. She turned the phone face down in her lap, forcing her expression into something neutral. The men were still talking about alliances, threats, and all things money-related but their voices blurred in her ears. All she could hear was the echo of Alessandro’s words.

THE REFLECTION GAME

THE REFLECTION GAME

“Neither was the game. And yet here we are.” Mia and Ryan entered, looking equally shaken. Ryan tossed a book onto Anna’s desk. “Found this in the restricted section of the library.” Anna picked it up, reading the title. The Reflection Game: A Curse Through Time. Mia crossed her arms. “It says the game doesn’t end until all the lost pieces of the players are reclaimed.” Anna swallowed hard. “Which means…” Ryan nodded grimly. “We’re not free yet.” Silence filled the room. Logan sighed, running a hand through his hair. “So what now?”
