Gwen’s POV: The Blackwood night was drizzling, wrapped in a thick, heavy fog. The main avenue stretched out completely deserted, devoid of a single soul. Standing beneath the yellow, flickering glow of a streetlamp, I looked up at the bleak, gray sky and gently ran my fingers through my white hair. Tonight, I was empty-handed and cast out, yet my chest felt lighter and more brimming with vitality than ever before. The ruthless world of Blackwood was out there waiting for me.
