Gwen felt an elbow on her side and she reeled to head to Onyx who was standing beside her in the great hall of the pack house. "Don't be nervous," The omega assured, staring down at the redhead she-wolf with fondness in her eyes. When Gwen is a distance away, Ivar tosses me the key to Bowen's lock and hastens away while I frantically struggle to unlock it. I realize too late it's the wrong key. When Bowen tenses up beside me, I look up and freeze. All around Hunters snap down their masks and a shrill command rings out, "Fire!" An explosion. Choking smoke. Gwen has a scheme. She intends to manipulate financial data and make it appear Theodor is responsible. Leveraging all her connections within the company, Gwen begins to rally people to her cause to bring down Theodor and Elden. With all the access she has, Gwen continues to exploit the situation. Gibson is aware of all of Gwen's plans, knowing full well it could lead him into trouble, yet he still chooses to proceed. He is confident that Gwen will achieve her goals.

“Elder.” Gwyneth stood there with an unusual appearance. Her silver hair was slightly dishevelled, as though she had arrived in a hurry. Her expression looked striking in an unsettling way, too. She was anxious. “Gamma,” she said quietly. Then, without preamble, she asked, “Did something happen to Alpha?” Naomi fell silent. A bad feeling suddenly crept into her chest at Gwyneth's sudden appearance. “I can't calm myself,” Gwyneth continued softly. “My chest has felt tight since earlier.”

“Let's talk.” I dried my eyes with my other palm and followed June and Evelyn to the three nights inn. It was less rowdy than the city. Today sucked. Gwen's POV The frantic echo of footsteps approached rapidly, and my vision blurred as I began to lose consciousness. My breathing was shallow, and the last thing I could discern was a figure bending over me. “Luna, open your eyes!” a voice shouted urgently. It wasn’t Ryker’s voice; it was someone else. I forced my eyelids open and saw the gamma kneeling beside me. I didn’t know his name, but he was one of the pack’s most feared gammas. How did he find me here?

“Thank you.” “Do you want me to assist you?” Tyron offered. “No need.” Gwen answered, smiling. “I think I can manage on my own.” Gwen walked back to her room with the book and closed the door behind her. She sat down on her seat and sighed, then glanced at the book. It was dark-covered, and the title was written in a language she couldn’t understand. When she opened the book though, she could read what was written inside. There were so many chapters of different spells, and most if not all made use of blood. The more she flipped pages, the more shocked she became. She didn’t know if she should feel disgusted at the gory acts or in awe of how it is carried out.

Gwyn, with her soft blonde hair that turned golden in the right light, her apple cheeks and vibrant blue eyes and graceful curves. And Winston, with his straight back and powerful aura, intimidating, yet alluring grey eyes and stylishly messy curls of midnight dark hair. Gwyn didn't look a day over twenty and before now, I could have sworn that Winston was 26 at least. That must be why he was capable of amassing such great wealth at (what looked like) a very young age.
