Vor drei Tagen stand meine Wölfin kurz vor dem Zusammenbruch. Ich weinte und flehte ihn um die zweihunderttausend an, die für einen Notfalleingriff benötigt wurden. Doch Chloe hielt das Siegel absichtlich zurück und verzögerte die Genehmigung, indem sie sich auf angeblich falsche Abläufe berief. After receiving his bonus, my husband, John Anderson, used his savings and bought his mother a house in the city. Considering my mother-in-law, Mary Anderson’s age, it was not ideal for her to stay alone in the countryside. Hence, I transferred the money without any hesitation. However, when John went to fetch his mother for house-viewing, she appeared unexpectedly before my door. “Helen, I can understand that you feel unwell due to your pregnancy, but my husband left me so little money. I can’t give it all to you.” I was dumbfounded. Just when I was about to clarify matters, my husband called me. “Helen, Mom doesn’t like this house. Zweiundzwanzig Jahre später, nachdem mein Sohn Torin sein Studium abgeschlossen hatte, übergaben wir ihm die Alphaposition und meinen gesamten Reichtum. Bei der Übergabezeremonie, vor den Ältesten, Adligen und Anführern verbündeter Rudel, kam Elora Arm in Arm mit meinem Gefährten herein. Dann hielt sie mir das Testergebnis einer DNA- Analyse entgegen. „Torin ist der leibliche Sohn von Damon und mir. Jetzt ist es an der Zeit, ihn mir zurückzugeben.“ Mein Sohn zog ein kleines Fläschchen hervor und sagte gnadenlos zu mir: „Das ist ein Trank, den ich von einer Hexe bekommen habe. Trink ihn jetzt, brich die Gefährtenbindung zu meinem Vater und verschwinde so weit und schnell wie möglich von hier!“ Ich lächelte leicht. „In Ordnung.“
