“My Lord, my Lord!” Maru ran back inside, nearly tripping over the stone steps. “This fool,” Anubis muttered under his breath, his golden eyes narrowing. “What is it?” He raised a brow, his voice low and dangerous. “She’s here,” Maru gasped, trying to catch his own breath. “I know,” Anubis said with a snort, his gaze fixed ahead. “I already sensed her.” His fingers flexed, golden sparks dancing along his knuckles, anticipation and annoyance mingling in his expression.

Leviathan wasn’t too happy to hear Anubis mocking him. “No, water breather. That isn’t him.” Anubis added and snapped his finger. The image of Wepwawet suddenly vanished and the chains he was bound to fell to the ground. Anubis laughed more as his body glowed a bit to receive the cop he just destroyed back into his body. Leviathan crushed the hologram pad in this hand and roared loudly. Suddenly Anubis pounded his foot into Leviathan’s throat and caused him to gag and choke as he flopped on his back like a fish out of water. He moved so fast that Behemoth didn’t have time to react. Within seconds Horus performed a spinning kick and launched Behemoth several feet away from them.

Honestly looking like Apollo wasn’t helping it either. Anubis stepped forward, eyes dancing. “I’ve heard so much about you, Jess. I admire the fact that you have my cousin wrapped around your finger. My Queen, let me look at you.” He spun me playfully before bowing and kissing my hand. I giggled. I knew why he was the trouble maker. “It’s lovely to meet you, my faithful servant,” I replied regally. A grin split across his face before he turned to Apollo. “I envy you, cousin,” Anubis teased Apollo. “I’d steal her in a heartbeat.”

He groggily opened his eyes and saw a navy blue screen appear, it read; [Astral Quest Complete! "Wait...astral..???.... that was like...a dream??" Claude was astonished. That unreal experience was in fact not real. "But ..I felt everything. I tasted everything." He thought as he remembered his intense primal desire to consume the buck whole. He slightly shuddered in disgust at the memory. DING! Claude heard a familiar sound and then a slightly transparent green screen with a beautiful frame that entailed roots and different animals appeared. "Finally." He said as he began to read the system message.

He is losing his sanity over various different scenarios he could imagine his daughter would be going through and the two goddesses were no different from him. "What the-" "WHAT DID YOU SAY?!" Cutting whatever Chaos tried to ask, Anubis barged into the living room, his mate Aziel following him closely behind. And they both were fuming, ready to declare war despite the fact that they just woke up from their meditative slumber. The two of them plus Chaos had first hand experience of how brutal the hunters of the Egyptian Celestial clan could be during their short stay as hostages before being released when Eva willingly offered herself in exchange for their freedom.

"No worries. The guest house is all yours, m'dear. Look forward to seeing you tomorrow." I smile. "You too, Bernhard," I answer. I lower the phone from my ear, hit end, and toss it on my desk. "A little mini-vacation should help," I mumble, grasping my desk chair and letting my head hang. "Are you feeling better?" Leander asks. "No," I answer honestly. "Or maybe a little, I guess. Knowing I can steal away a night earlier and just relax is helpful." I take a seat at my desk and pull the iPad toward me again. I look at the rest of my day and grimace when I see Aubrey is making an appearance at Eve tonight. "When did I agree to this?" I whine, putting the tablet down.

The woods themselves seemed to be holding their breath. Then chaos erupted. A rogue lunged from the shadows, yanked off the gleaming blades of the LV 1900 trap with a wet snarl. Before Leora could fully react, it was already upon her, teeth bared, eyes wild. Time slowed. But she didn’t freeze.

Anubis clicked his fingers and a few masked men seemed to materialize out of the shadows. “We have what we want, gentleman.” . . TBC

Aisha's ears perked up and we heard a commotion up ahead within the foliage. "Zayn is here fighting against Brian. Jordan says his beast is frightening and very large," she chuckled softly and I smiled. Gunfire was heard next and a howl of agony. I'm sure that was Brian I mumbled within my wolf's mind. The vegetation pulls apart and standing at least eight feet in height is a black hairy beast with fiery eyes. My wolf eyes scan his entire body and I curse at all that I see. Aisha inhaled sharply and told me the moon goddess just informed her that Zayn's beast was Ophois and Anubis combined. I mumbled wow as Zayn lifted Brian's dead wolf onto his back. Zayn sniffed the air and howled at both

I was in a daze as I tried to figure out what was happening, it was then that a girl appeared in front of me catching my mate before she could fall to the ground. I stood on the spot dumbfounded as I tried to understand what just happened. I could see the disdain in her eyes when she rejected me, there was also a hint of anger in her eyes. I knew that there is a high chance that I will be rejected if my mate is not a rogue like but being rejected with disdain made me angry. I knew that she must have felt the aura on my body which made her realize that I was a rogue but being rejected as soon as she saw me hurt my pride.
