~~~~~ -ANNA- Grocery shopping with Jynx is far more entertaining than I expected. She of course, has her own cart full of enough alcohol to fill a bar at a nightclub, while I grabbed odds and ends, household necessities, stuff to make meals and of course, loads of snacks...fruits, veggies, and lots of processed junk that will no doubt go straight to my butt, but whatevs.

"You related to Jack?" It shouldn't have felt like a slap to the face. I hadn't ever seen this guy. He didn't know who I was. Somewhere in my mind, I had assumed Daddy or Sarah or maybe even Austin would have at least mentioned Jack had two daughters, not just one. Apparently, that wasn't the case. "His daughter." The recognition I hoped for never crossed his face. "And you are?" "Tommy Campbell. Second in command." He stuffed his hands into the pockets of his well-fitted jeans. Jo’burg was where we all wanted to be. I looked out at the busy streets, smiling at the sight of many cars and fast food restaurants, the sight of office buildings, well-known name companies, and the street lights unlike any other. We passed Chinatown and I looked at the big mall until it got very small and I couldn't see it and all of a sudden the car was slowing down. I looked around before I set my eyes on the sight of a restaurant. "Wh..." I looked at the name, L'Italia viene a Jozi, "what does that mean?" I asked Jabu but he didn't answer me, instead he just unlocked the doors and mumbled "get out".

Layla POV It’s finally the weekend, and I can’t wait but to relax. I am wearing my most comfortable yoga pants with an oversized t-shirt that hits me almost on my knees. I am lazily lying down on the couch watching tv when Jo comes out of her room with tears in her eyes. “That bastard,” she curses, sitting on the end of the couch, moving my feet and resting them on her legs. I raise an eyebrow, looking at her, and she takes a deep breath, cleaning her tears with the back of her sleeve.

It must have been over an hour, but I half jumped from my seat when I heard footsteps approach me from the stairs. I turned in the direction of the sound, only to find Jojo staring at me. She had an oversized pair of army green pyjamas on, and her hair had been wrapped in a messy bun above her head. It didn't take two looks at her for me to know that she had a lot on her mind. And to also know that she...she did not want to be here, with me. She cleared her throat repeatedly before she spoke. "This place..." She started. But I wasn't sure I wanted to put myself through the hurt of hearing what she really wanted to say. So, I cut in.

Michael still sits on his chair, looking at them with scrunched up eyebrows. Things happens after that is so dramatic. His Mom barges towards me and hugs me again tightly, like she'll never give me to anyone else. And then she pulls away sobbing and cups my face, kissing me repeatedly on my forehead muttering ' You are alive'. His Dad is watching with an open mouth in shock. " Joshua, our Son. He is alive ! ", she cries, turning to him.

Bright and early the next day, I showed up at the office as usual. I ignored the whispers and stares, and made a beeline for my desk to start clearing it out. That was when Lily waltzed over, oozing fake sympathy. "Janice, can't you take a joke? "Come on, it was just a little toilet cleaning. Why'd you have to go and tell Mr. Hoffman you're quitting? No need to blow things out of proportion. "Look, I'll even dip into my own wallet and toss you a little extra cash to make up for it.

Jo filled another mug. “I guess I should explain, Luna. My bear was sleeping, and I was mostly human working a human job and married to a human. I was going through a divorce.” Jo looked to where Jericho was talking to the others. “Anyways, long story short, Jericho and I met. My bear woke up and our bears claimed each other and I went into heat. I got pregnant that first time.” She laughed. “Why do I get the feeling there is more?” Willow asked.

He's not going to let it put a damper on their weekend of fun and no adults. They eat and watch movies and even reenact one of Iandor’s stories out. Jesse plays the loyal servant, Jinju, to the main character, Sunja - played by Ian - and they build a castle out of pillows and boxes and anything they can get their hands on. They slay evil warlocks and rescue the damsel-in-distress. Their story comes to an end with them huddled over a carton of ice cream at the kitchen counter and talking about why people are so scared of spiders.
