Heard you been a bit busy but nothing you couldn’t handle,” Harley says, dropping to a similar position as me and swimming around. The other three stand behind him like bodyguards. His father probably bribed them to watch his back, I honestly wouldn’t be surprised.

I replied awkwardly. We all waited together for a while. We were avoiding each other's eyes—a pair of awkward teenagers. Gosh, I still have to take responsibility for this situation. I spread one palm of my hand in front of her feet, which were busy dragging the ground. Her attention shifted to me. She stared at me questioningly as I suddenly bombarded her with a sweet smile. Ash, Decker, and Nat were downright hysterical and I could hear even Blade trying to keep himself from laughing. "I'm not gonna yell at her. I just want to know when they learned to ride." Joker snarled as he glared at me and then at the rest of the group. "Yeah, me too!" Dom and I both said at the same time which set off another round of laughter. Joker continued towards the door with us right behind him. He finally wrenched it open only to be greeted with Petal and Margo rolling in laughter on the floor. Thor, Sunny and Thrash were behind them, cracking up as well.

He revels in it, his laughter echoin' through the room, fillin' the space with a twisted sense of joy. “Ya an asshole,” I mutter, unsure of what else to say, feelin' the weight of the situation pressin' down on me. “Oh, I’m hurt!” Joker exclaims, his hand flyin' up to his heart in mock agony. “Ouch,” he adds with an exaggerated pout, clearly enjoyin' every second of this. Why are you so dirty?” I look at my shirt and realize I’m covered in debris from our little demolition session. “I was helping Jack with his plans.” Harley comes to have a look at the changes we’ve made and points to my calculations. “You’re an engineer?” “And architect.” “No shit?” Harley puts her helmet down, takes off her gloves and jacket. She catches me watching her and looks away, as if pretending to look around. “Is there something wrong with your bike?” “What? Oh, there’s a leak in the fuel line. I’m going to have to walk it home.” She says like it’s no big deal.

Through the hole in her mask, I see Harley Quinn smirk but she says nothing, merely watching us. “Tell us what you want and we’ll give it to you,” Dad says, the tone of his voice firm but pleading. “Just please let me and my family go.” The Joker cocks his head like he’s actually considering it. I know he’s really not. He enjoys playing with his victims. He’s been amusing himself with me every single time he came to check up on me and he doesn’t give a shit that he’s the only one who enjoys these ‘jokes’. He’s crazy and it’s pointless trying to have a normal conversation with him.
