The Cruel Rejection

The Cruel Rejection

She lay beside Rain, contemplating what Brandon had said. "Did Jonathan really try to commit suicide?" Meanwhile, somewhere in the night, Jonathan was crying his heart out. Why did they betray him? Why, out of all people, them? What did he and Trisha ever do then? His phone rang. He didn't want to, but he picked up the unknown call. "Hello" "Hello" "Is this Mr. Wisdom speaking?" A very familiar voice spoke up. "Yes. May I know to whom I am speaking?" "It's me, Zee. Trisha frie-"

Be a wife After Five Years Apart

Be a wife After Five Years Apart

"I'll be home; don't forget." These were Jonathan's last words before the Hayes family left. The car Jonathan and his family were in was already driving down the highway. Bryan decided to walk to his private room. Feeling that it was his personal space, Bryan entered without knocking. Bryan was surprised to find his personal driver sitting on the sofa with a sad look on his face. Even Asher's delicate eyelashes were wet with tears. "Ah, you're back, Boss," Asher said, wiping the tears away quickly.

Unbreakable & Strong Love Connection

Unbreakable & Strong Love Connection

Jonathan caught himself before he fell, and Jake cought his leg and hung onto him. Jonathan clutched the slippery edge as tight as he could, his grip was slowly giving out and the weight of Jake wasn't helping. Jonathan's grip gave out and he fell, the wind blew past him and suddenly everything faded to black. He could hear a familiar voice scream before he blacked out. Jonathan could only think of that one special person, images of her and her voice echoed in his mind. Marley Brown was her name and one person He'd always think of and cherish forever, even as his vision faded and mind slowly drifted away and sirens got louder and louder.

Love Shot

Love Shot

Jonathan whispered, as if saying a single word could kill him. “No, Jonathan! I’m coming, wait, son—” But his feet were frozen. The shadow slowly swallowed Jonathan, starting from his feet until his last breath. “Sorry… I’m not strong enough to be your shadow, Papa. Please take back what should be mine,” Jonathan, engulfed in darkness, tearfully, with red eyes, seemed to harbor revenge and anger. “JONATHAN!!!” He woke up gasping. His eyes were wet. The clock showed 03:06—exactly when Jonathan died in Luzern.

Kiss For The Sin

Kiss For The Sin

He still sound intimidating and menacing just like the first time I saw him. "Good afternoon, Dad. I apologize for my delay" I said politely. He nods. "How was your mission?" I immediately place down the black port I was holding together with the documents I gather that contain confidential information on the center table. "I already collected everything that you needed. Brandon Elliot is already dead" I report. He stops reading and lifts his gaze at me. "Come closer," he utter and I obliged. "Did you get hurt?" I shake my head. "I was not"

Resisting The Alpha Cowboy

Resisting The Alpha Cowboy

I hesitated, but curiosity pulled me forward. As we walked, he gestured toward the tombstones, speaking names I didn’t recognize. “Johnathan Marks. He was one of the first men to stand against the mayor when he tried to sell the town’s land to developers. Disappeared one night. Turned up weeks later, throat slit, floating in the river.”

I Am Nothing Like You

I Am Nothing Like You

"Are you okay? You don't look like the boy I met in the forest! What's with the long face?" He still didn't say a word. Krulisa was trying not to get exasperated by his ignorance. "Jonathan, you okay?" Mark nudged him with his shoulders. Finally Jonathan looked up and spoke. "Our parents are dead." He said in a slow tone. Krulisa eyed Borham and he began his acting. "Oh Lord. That's really upsetting. I am sorry for what happened!" He signed Krulisa to join him. "Exactly. My deepest condolences. What exactly happened?"

At first I was a bit confused by the different characters appearing all at once. I will like to suggest if the author could create a scene break to signify a change in the scene, maybe a( ***) in the middle will be just find. Above all, I enjoy reading the book. Keep up the good work!

The Last Station Standing

The Last Station Standing

The Story Tellerdarkness feeling
He wore the tattered remains of an Admiral’s uniform. It was Graves. But he wasn't attacking. He fell to his knees, his hands clawing at the moss, leaving trails of black static. "It... it's not a heaven..." Graves rasped, his voice sounding like a corrupted audio file. "You... you brought the rot with you, Vance. The Exterminators... they aren't trying to get in. They're trying to get out." Kazimir drew his blade, but Jun held him back. "Look at his chest, Kaz."

My Last Breath, His Eternal Regret

My Last Breath, His Eternal Regret

He hesitated, then spoke with a blunt finality that cut sharper than any scalpel: “Mr. Colombo… Miss Smith passed away yesterday. We tried to reach you all day. In her final moments, it was her friend Nina who stayed by her side. Her body is in the morgue now.” The hallway went silent. Susan’s fingers tightened around his arm, nails carving crescent moons into his skin. He didn’t notice. His world had already split apart. And I, unseen at his side, watched the blood drain from his face—watched the truth strike him like a bullet to the heart. But it was far, far too late.

One Sentence Before Death

One Sentence Before Death

"So why show yourself now? Why come back to visit my brother's grave?" Jeremy sighed softly, his tone unusually calm. "I knew it. I knew this whole thing was a trap. "But a few days ago, I was diagnosed with cancer. I don't have long left anyway. At this point, death doesn't scare me anymore. "I just thought... before I die, seeing Jason one more time would make it worthwhile." He paused, then looked up at me. "By the way, what exactly were Jason's final words before he jumped?" There was genuine curiosity mixed into his voice. Clearly, that was one of the reasons he had come.
