Upon noticing whatever he planned wasn't working, Flame tried to teleport but couldn't. Frustrated, he charged back to Jordan, determined to finish him.

His voice was colder than she’d ever heard it. “This isn’t a warning,” he said. “It’s a declaration.” Ashley wrapped her arms around herself, wishing she could shrink into nothing. Jordan’s smiling from ear to ear and I look at him skeptically. “Why are you so happy?” I ask him and his smile only widens. “I’ve trained to fight my whole life, and Midnight Moon is boring, I’ll finally get to put my skills to use.” He tells me, and I smile remembering the time he fought Heath’s men while the tranquilizers worked their way through his system, it was incredible.
