I smile up at him and settled on the seat beside his. “You look, simple and amazing.” He says, earning a grin from me. “And you look great too.” Jude calls the bartender and he comes forward. Turning over to me, Jude asks. “What would you like to drink?” “Seltzer water, please.” “Isn’t that too, simple?

My anger spits sparks, my voice trembling with fury. Jude ignores me, eyes locked on Jordan. “How?” Jordan’s steps are deliberate, measured, each one pressing weight into my chest. “Because I’m a doctor too.” “You’re what?” Jude asks, stunned. Jordan’s gaze doesn’t leave mine. “Before I became a cop, I was a psychiatrist. License still valid.” His voice is calm, merciless. “I can get her admitted. No problem. She’s clearly not in her right mind.” The floor tilts beneath me. My heart drops straight into my stomach.

“After five minutes, you can stop deluding yourself.” Then, he looked at his watch again. Five minutes went by, but Marcus had not arrived. “Andrius, what else do you have to say for yourself?” Jude sneered at Andrius with a contemptuous look. “It’s been five minutes already. Now, you cannot see Halle again, or…” When Jude was threatening Andrius, he spotted someone familiar coming over. He looked and focused on the person and realized it was indeed Marcus, Mayor Freely! Jude strode over to the mayor with a flattering smile. He stretched his hand out and said respectfully, “Mayor Freely, hi! I’m Jude, Zack Carver’s son! The chairman of Carver Enterprises!”

But the way he looked at her, she felt as though her secrets were laid bare before him.

I also remember reading that he's seen with different women all the time. The moon light make his eyes seem a bit darker.

Parker gasped as the realization of something dawned on him. "Jamie, you aren't in some... Some." Parker stuttered. "In some what man?" Jamie laughed. "Hold on a minute. Man, you aren't in some kind of cult group are you?" Parker asked. In stead of replying, Jamie pulled up his short to show Parker a tattoo. The tat was a rising eagle, it's eyes set on something in a distance. Upon seeing it, Parker's fears and thoughts were confirmed. His friend really did belong to a secret cult.

He looked old and sullen. The man to the right of Argus was a young man, about 20 at most with slick backed brown hair and a smattering of stubble along his face. He had a few scars and tattoos on his arms. He was the rapist father to one of the breeder's children. He was forced to work as a lowly warrior rather than the higher up one he was meant to become.

I couldn’t help but smile at the fascination that sparked in his eyes. “What on bloody earth is that?” he asked. “A magic mirror,” I teased before explaining to him the best way I could what exactly a television set was. I asked if he wanted to watch a movie, recalling the extensive DVD collection we’d found earlier that night. I asked him to pick a movie and he returned with two interesting picks: Chicago and the Godfather. It was almost a reflection of the kind of person that he was – a musician and a killer whose loyalty to family stood above all else – either way, tormented, with darkness constantly looming over him.
