Someone had twisted the truth, buried it beneath lies and fear, and used it to destroy my family. I would not let that stand. One afternoon, as we worked together, Judy hesitated before speaking. “Can I tell you something?” she asked. I nodded. “You always do.” She smiled faintly. “About the king.” I paused, my fingers tightening around the watering jug. “What about him?” Judy lowered her voice. “He wasn’t always like this. Not completely.” I straightened slowly, curiosity overriding caution. “What do you mean?” “She had a sister,” Judy said. “Younger than him. Fierce. Funny. Everyone adored her.”

I see his eyes light up and he grins, “Do you want me to be like a brother to you like Jace?” “Well, I have two sisters, so it’s only fair that I have two brothers too. Then we can gang up on the girls because there will be more boys finally!” We all laugh at his thought process. “Well, consider me your big brother then, little man!” Jude squeezes my hip and I look back at him. He really looks happy and that’s all that I was wanting for him this Christmas.

He was not pleased by her attitude. Judy couldn't register anything he was saying. His every word stepped her heart more deeply and made her flesh tear without any pity. Judy is a twenty-two years old orphan. She lived in Andrea's house after she was adopted at the age of ten by Andrea's grandpa. Andrea is also the same age as Judy. Both girls grew together. They were close to each other from the first day they met and their bond was a cute one to others.

Brienne exclaimed in disbelief. "Oh, please, Brienne! You're not really my parents' child. It’s because of you being in this family that we hated staying with them. We will never like you, Brienne. The least you could do is agree to this," Judy said. "Judy! Are you hearing yourself?" Brienne asked, utterly hurt by her sister's words. "I never thought you were my real sister, Brienne. So shut the f*ck up and let us sell this f*cking house!" Judy said. "Don’t worry, you'll get your share if you cooperate and sign the papers," she added.

"That's right! I'm so jealous of your figure." "Both of you are so gorgeous. If only we could pull off such a stunning look with the same dress." The flattery continued. The Collins sisters, as always, kept their heads high and looked very proud of themselves. They accepted the compliments humbly and smiled graciously while acknowledging the praises, but deep down they were just being pretentious. "Ms. Judy, what have you been busy with lately? It's been a while since we last met." "Ms. Judy is the future head of the Collins family. She possesses great abilities and power. Naturally, she has many things to take care of, unlike us."

"We're simply waiting to see if you'll finally tell the truth." Jude seized the moment, stepping forward with both hands raised slightly, the posture of a man trying to physically calm a room he had lost control of several minutes ago. "I think," he said, "we should all take a breath. This has clearly become about old wounds between sisters, and I don't think any of us benefit from—" "Don't," I said, and turned the full weight of my attention onto him for the first time in several minutes. Jude affirmed to himself whilst his wife was already preparing for their dinner. Emerald is the type of person who's quiet, and doesn't fight back. That's a trait Jude hates a lot about her. She couldn't stand tall and fight for herself. At first, Jude doesn't care about it but as her bullies began to come back everyday, Jude constantly fought for her. When they were still children, their relationship was perfectly fine. Jude often tutors the Campbell sisters specially Emerald who's weak at math. Their relationship went off the brink when Jude was proclaimed to inherit his father's company and shocking events about business, marriage went public.
