“You didn’t read all of these books?” “I read books one through five. That fifth book was when all the fighting happened between them. I don’t know why but I just kept buying the other books when they came out.” She shrugged. “I just. . .I couldn’t stop. I had to buy them.” Maddox raised his eyebrows. “Even though you didn’t want to read them?” “Exactly. It was the oddest thing.” “These are spelled.” He picked them up and turned to the author again. “This Grace Moon must be a witch.”

Still, by the time I stood up an hour later, I was checking out six books. Judith stamped them with a practised thud and slid them across the desk. Her gaze skimmed the titles, then rose to my face. “Research project?” she asked lightly. “Something like that,” I said. She smiled a little. “Moonbrook inspires curiosity.” “That’s one word for it.” Judith’s expression turned unreadable in that small town way that made me feel like she knew more than she intended to say. “Some stories survive because people keep feeding them,” she said. “Others survive because they started from something real.”

Even Brian didn’t stop nagging me until I told him I could no longer handle it. “You sound so bitter right now,” Judith said, typing in her passcode as we stopped at her door. We entered her room, and I headed straight for her bed. I expected her to protest that the bed would only make me want to sleep instead of read but she didn’t. “I’m not sounding bitter, I just don’t like the way everyone is trivializing my decision,” I said, picking the biggest book from the stack of books I left on the ground. I read from a self-help book I had once read, ‘Eat-That-Frog’, that eating your biggest frog first would make eating the smaller ones easier.

Dear Readers, It's been a long journey, eight years in the making ( since long before I brought Knowing Jude to Goodnovel). What was supposed to be a single teen fiction book turned into a trilogy that followed our characters into adulthood. I'm so grateful that you've stuck with Jo and Jude to the end. I'm deeply sorry to those of you who've read this story along with me while I wrote it. At times, I subjected you to long waits for updates. It's a true story about a girl named, Mary Rose, who has to deal with her drug addiction and boys. The book interests me. I show Jack. "Out of every book in this store, you choose the one about an addict?" Jack raises his eyebrows. I shrug.

They walked in and took their seat. "What would you care for dear?" " A cup of Americano will be okay Uncle.." "Okay.., give me a minute," he muttered and went over to the counter. "Please, can I have two cups of Americano?" he ordered and stood patiently in wait. Meanwhile, Riley sat quietly at the table holding the letters she found in her parent's wardrobe with her attention all focused on it. "Why is mum refusing to tell me anything?" she queried, starring at the content of the letters.

Vera asked. "No I'm not," Molly responded. "Mm, who are you today?" "Molly Hammers." "I see a motherly aura around you," Vera said knitting on. "Um yes . . . Molly Hammers is a mother. A single mother to a six year old boy. Dylan." "Well, isn't that interesting?" "What's happening to me?" Molly asked. "I keep dying and coming back over and over again . . . Why? Why is this happening to me?" Vera stopped knitting and paused for a moment; her cloudy white eyes looking into the distance as though she could see something in it.
