Maybe not the white picket fence thing, but a family to call my own—a husband and kids.
I watched Jericho lay down a blanket and two pillows. He left the food in the picnic basket but pulled out a tennis ball that had Slash leaping in the air with unbridled excitement.
"I'll leave you to relax here for a bit, maybe read and soak in some sun. I feel like Slash could use some exercise."
"Sure," I agreed, lying down on the blanket and propping my head on the pillow. Pulling my shades over my eyes, I groggily muttered, "might just take a nap."
