We walked a small distance between getting to a small house, it looks a little bit like a cottage that would belong in fairytales, this little house/ cottage is close to a river. “Home sweet home.” Amber said with a smile as she walked in, I walked in shyly with the boys. The inside of the house looks warm and homely, even though the furnitures and curtains are probably not the most expensive it still looks really good, I immediately start to feel like this could be home but I quickly remind myself that this is not my home, I quickly remind myself that I do not have a home, the sadness from that realization settles in slowly and yet again I start to feel sad.

Home. The word hit me like a punch to the chest. Safe. Warm. Something I’d never really had in my life not with my father’s house, not with all the cold walls and rules that made me feel more like a prisoner than a son. But hearing it now? From him? God, I liked the sound of it. I wanted it. “Yes,” I said quickly, almost too quickly. “Home. Take me home.” And then, like an idiot, my throat tightened. That single word stirred something ugly and fragile inside me, and before I could shut it down, a drop of water slipped from the corner of my eye.

The grey fancy walls give a warm impression to each room… The shining white marble floor pampers those who step on it, it reminds me of home. The place where my family and I spent time together… “Wow… it’s wonderful” I say as my eyes point to the house in surprise. Lena gets closer to me and hugs me from the back “You like it, babe…” She says. I keep looking at the house and admiring it. “Yeah… I love it” I say. Lena removes the hair from my neck “Well… sounds good” Lena says as she kisses my neck gently. I turn myself back and face Lena “It reminds me of home,” I say in a slow voice. “And… this is our home now,” Lena says as she strokes my hair with her fingers.

Anna returns to her familiar home that has been separated for many years, her beloved home, no matter how many years she is away, the feeling of familiarity is always present in Anna's heart, sleeping in the room. I could just think about crying and the fountain is on. It’s just too much for me to handle. I quickly get out of bed and rush to the kitchen to microwave the cold pizza from yesterday or the day before? I wasn’t sure. But I put in anyways and I set the timer. I rush back to the bathroom taking a quick bath. The only a* pay is so good and I get an extra bonus cause I am pregnant. The shop owner was so nice and welcoming and so homey. I think that has to be the only friend in my life right now.

She hesitated before nodding lightly. Her seatmate smiled and praised, "Your mom is so beautiful!" Felise took out her lunchbox and shared the donuts with some classmates. Her seatmate took a bite of the donut. "Did your mom make this herself? It's delicious! She's unlike my mom. Even our dog won't eat what she cooks." Felise felt pride swell up in her.
