Kate how have you been?” Kate’s POV “I have been doing great, thank you for having me.” “You know since you came back, people have been speculating or even asking what your next move will be after the blockbuster speech during Sheriff Morgan Wilson’s memorial. Easy. “Hi.” Kai blinked. “Hi.” “Would you like to be my partner?” Kai almost said no. Almost asked if he was uncomfortable. Almost warned him. Then he saw Jaden moving closer from the corner of his eye. Kai heard himself say, “Yes.” Not loud. Not dramatic. Just… firm. “I’m Kai.” “Andy,” the boy said, still smiling. From across the gym, Jaden stopped. And turned away. The routine went smoothly. Kai and Andy moved in sync, clean strikes, controlled balance. They passed easily. Good enough to leave early, shower, prep for the next class.

Athena said, and I nearly puked while everyone cheered loudly. 'What the hell I've I gotten myself into, and it's all because of that stupid Kayden, what crossed his mind to add my name to their insane list,' I fumed still in my thoughts and to my surprise, Kai stood up from his spot and started walking to a beautiful brown skin girl. 'She's so pretty, with her brown thick hair which was curly, it's natural,' I stared on as Kai knelt in front of her, and she looked quite flustered.

International seminars are held. Kai became one of the main speakers. Yesterday, Kai had trained himself until late at night. He didn't even have time to just have dinner. And right now, Kai was on the podium in a black suit with a turtle neck sweater. He is so handsome and domineering.

We both laughed hearing her words. “Thank you, princess.” She caressed her face while I gently placed her beside Elsie. “Mommy, where is little Anderson?” Andrea asked with excitement. “Oh, now you forget about mommy already.” She feigned a sad face. “You are always number one, mommy but I want to meet little Anderson.” “Soon, princess.” The knock on the door suddenly disturbed their interaction. Not long after that, a nurse entered the room with a baby carrier. Andrea noticed it and her excited voice echoed in the room.

“Especially curves.” Oh, he was good. Like, really good. Andi wasn’t a stick figure and she was sure not as curvy as her mother had been due to the amount of training she did, but she wasn’t as slim as a lot of the lionesses in her pride. “Mr. Steel,” she started. “Please, call me Kasen.” Dammit. She didn’t want to, but fine.

Ash nods, “If he’s there, we won’t be able to sneak up and try and pack-link to her. He may be stupid, but he’s still being cautious, avoiding traffic cameras, and so on.” Kai groans, she’s been gone for a little less than twenty-four hours and he misses her so much already. He whimpers a little, and Ash comes and hugs him, “I know, by any and all of the Gods, I know.” Ash says, and Kai closes his eyes, letting the tears fall freely, again. He sobs,

"Thanks." She glances sideways at me. "You’ll be fine. Stick with me. I’m weird, but not mean." N. NAs we walk into third period, History of Supernatural Integration, whatever that means, Rhea pauses and nods toward two guys sitting near the back. "That’s Kai and Axel,” she says. “Try not to stare. Everyone does." I glance over, not expecting much..Then my breath catches. Kai is dark-haired, broad-shouldered, with this quiet brooding intensity like he’s constantly doing calculus in his head or judging everyone silently.

Kent laughs, wiping his hands on a towel from my bathroom. "Called in a favor," he says. "And you're gonna owe me one after all this. I could've used that favor for a lot of things, but I spent it on you." He grins at me to show he's just kidding. I smile back – Kent is becoming a pretty good friend. Andrea is one of Kent's contacts. I've only met her once, and she's terrifying. She's about my height, with a black bob and fierce, dark eyes. She dresses head to toe in leather and carries some kind of steel baton at her hip.

Jeremy’s name was called and he quickly said his goodbyes and headed off to talk with a council member. I turned towards Anders, who quickly buried his nose in my shoulder. “The doctor has cleared me, so as soon as this meeting is over, we will be leaving.” I couldn’t stop the giggle that left my lips as Anders pulled me closer, kissing me briefly. The kiss was interrupted all too quickly by the council, who was ready to start the meeting.
