Kaia raised an eyebrow at me, “Stickler, I’ve had to run out of exploding buildings and cars that were in flames in my past life. I’m tougher than I look. I promise you, if there is ever a time that I am not fine, I will tell you.”
“Exploding buildings and cars in flames? You sound like an action superhero.” I laughed.
“I will tell you some of the craziest jobs I have done, and then maybe you will understand why I’m calm about it.”
We stripped, and Kaia pulled her shift first. I see Izo, and she is a sweet brownish-reddish wolf. I run my fingers through her hair and smile.
“You’re beautiful, Izo. But Storn likes to hunt. You should run.” I said.
