Her tongue clicked before she spoke. “My novel is about two people who met in an unexpected situation. One made a bet and the other agreed, one life is at stake. I don’t want to spoil that much because I want you to read it yourself”, she smiled but I was too distracted to smile back. I was once again terrified at the thought that this is somewhat connected to me and Khali. Who is this person in front of me, sipping her coffee, wearing a cheerful and attractive smile on her face?

“Probably because they’re mostly written by women who’ve experienced rejection in real life, and they write their dreams of becoming powerful.” “But then they almost always take the bastard who rejected them back,” I countered. “That’s the mate bond. It’s how it works. Besides, I’m not reading a werewolf novel at the moment.” Nate and Kam had come in by then. “So, what kind of novel are you reading?” Nate asked. “It’s a forbidden love story,” she answered. I glanced at Kam, and we smirked. “So, is she underage, or are they related?” he asked.

Kamdiri calmly said to Kambiri, trying to calm him down because he also can figure out that Kambiri is not in an ordinary mood anymore "Solution from where exactly! where do you want us to go and seek this solution from, when you have tarnished the little solution we have!" Kambiri asked with an angry voice as he grabs Kamdi on his cloth using his hands "Kambi calm down please, look, I have already killed him and he is not returning back, just calm down let's get out of this place first, we must surely find a solution, I promise you that" Kamdiri calms him down.

She said to herself while gazing at him. With a soft sigh, Ameera turned her attention to a novel she had brought along for the journey. She picked it up, feeling the weight of the story in her hands. As Ameera gazed at the novel in her hands, written by Prerna Kanade, a smile curled on her lips. She traced her fingers over the embossed title, feeling a sense of anticipation for the story that lay within its pages.

She raised her brows. “Seriously?” He narrowed his eyes at her. “Yes, seriously! Ah yous should check it out too, come I’ll read it out to you, it’s great!” She clapped her hands in excitement. “No thank you, you know I don’t read romance,” He shook his head. “But it’s a unique one,” She protested, “A popular mystery/thriller writer is thrown inside her own novel! How cool is that?” “Hmm?” he raised his brows. “Did it pick your interest?” She wiggled her brows. “Ah, the guy has the same name as you, by the way,” She added.

But not this time. She wasn’t plotting revenge. She wasn’t planning to destroy his reputation. He was her ex–best friend, after all. She would simply go with the flow. She has no clue what is ahead waiting for her, but one thing she knows is that Karma is a bitch. Karma gets you back. You just need to believe in it and move on. Try not to take matters into your own hands if unnecessary. Just leave it to Karma. It has its way of dealing with things.
