Not someone I recognised and she makes me jump when she leans down to whisper in my ear. “You are very lucky to have two men fight over you Aria! But don’t worry, I have got it under control!” “Thank you.” I mumble as I open my eyes a little to see brilliant blue eyes and long raven hair. She offers me a smile and introduces herself as Kara. “You have been looking after me?” “Yes and you have certainly tested us, especially with being a Hybrid.”

I held my hands up at them and stayed still. “I’m Kara, Silas’s mate. I grew up in this pack, I’m not trying to run away. I’m just going to a small rock pond in a clearing farther into the forest. It used to be maintained by the old pack members with copious amounts of flowers. Is it still there?” I ask curiously. I could mind link them but I didn’t want to be rude.

The female wolf from the fight limps behind them, still bleeding from her ribs. "This is Kara," Marcus says, gesturing to her. "My second-in-command and the reason half these idiots are still alive." Kara shifts back to human form properly now, pulling on clothes from a nearby shelter. She's around twenty-five in human years, with short dark hair and a scar running from her eyebrow to her jaw. When she looks at Stark, her expression is pure disdain. "The vampire prince," she says, making it sound like an insult. "How wonderful. Another entitled royal slumming it with the peasants."
