But I’m not going to tell her. I’m just glad that Brandon didn’t believe a word that Katherine has said about me. He actually found it funny. He even thinks that Katherine is jealous of me, because the fighting and bickering has started shortly after she caught Brandon hugging me in the castle. Katherine smiled at her. “How are you Kathy? We missed you so much..” Ann’s tears were beginning to well up. “I missed you all too. I had a hard time in London to not think about you all..” Katherine confessed. They kept talking for a while. Katherine got to know that her friends were all married now. Hudson had a two year old son, Laura and Ann had daughters of same age as her daughter. “Where is she?” Katherine asked out of the blue. “Who?” Ann’s asked, noticing the sudden seriousness in Katherine’s face and immediately understood whom she was referring to.

Everything felt wrong, Marcel was dead, and Thorne… Thorne was in love with someone else. Yes, I wanted him gone, but that didn’t erase the truth that I had loved him. I still loved him. My steps were filled with determination and resolved. It opened at my first command. Then, I turned around for Victor. “Get Erin out of the car.” I watched while Victor pulled a sleeping Erin out of the car. Like her mother, she whimpered when her sleep was disturbed. I waited for Victor to reach me and let him precede me inside. “Didn’t you hear what I said?” My mother tried one more time to mess with my head. “Katherine is your sister. You can’t marry your own sister!” She continued shouting until I ordered one of my men to silence her.

Her fist tightened as she tried to look strong. She replied, "I know, but everyone was insisting I look for you and let you know that the time is running out. I told them you cannot forget, yet they were pushing me too much to do the job. Please, forgive me." Suddenly, I felt two soft arms wrapped around my neck and a head lightly pressed against my chest. Looking down I saw Katherine, who was looking at me with mischievous eyes. Before I could use my thoughts to understand her action, she uttered, "It's okay, darling, don't be so angry at your sister; she also wants the best for you, isn't it Stephanie?" Katherine said, her tone was anything but serious.

This seemed to placate Tyler as he relaxed his stiff posture. "My Other Parents wanted me to invite you, actually. I forewarn you though that it's a vicious trap to destroy our relationship. They seem to think that my sister, Melody, is going to ensnare you with her.. . charms, for the decided lack of a more befitting, 'approved for all audiences' word," Katherine said scathingly. Tyler raised his eyebrows at the obvious hostility in Katherine's voice. She wasn't usually the type to despise anyone, 1let alone someone she considered family.
