“You did it, little wolf. Look at you! I’m so proud of you.”
Milanya looks up at him, her crimson eyes now steady and glowing with curiosity. She lets out a small yip, wagging her tail as she nudges his hand with her nose.
Ruslan laughs again, his face lighting up with pride and joy. He stands slowly, his gaze shifting to me. “Katya,” he says, his voice softer now. “She’s okay.”
I let out a breath I didn’t realize I was holding, tears streaming down my face as I step closer. “She’s beautiful,” I whisper, my voice trembling.
