What Was Lost

What Was Lost

Back then, there had been a doctor who pulled her aside for a conversation. They spoke by the door, and I only heard a few phrases. "A matching kidney donor found by another doctor? I don't believe you. She must be a scammer." I did not pay much mind to it then, but now I realize that was when she stole my right to live for the second time. Wendy took care of everything after we arrived at Capitol. Moments before the operation started, I turned on my original phone. I had hundreds of missed calls, all from Serene.

The Guardian of Chaos

The Guardian of Chaos

“Consider this. My lead mage is gone. There is no medium between me and my Guardian, and I have never seen him this angry. If it continues my city will be the next abandoned. “Do you know the history of these two cities Lord Fuller. The Abandoned city’s guardian is your guardian’s wife. How angry will he become then? Would you call me back to kill your Guardian as well? How much would you pay me then while you watch history repeat itself as your Guardian goes on its own cleansing rampage?” “You are the most powerful mage in the land, do this for me. I will double the reward. Triple it if you disagree with me further.” “Where are you getting the reward money Lord Fuller and the and resources

Contract With Big Brother-in-law

“All this time, she has held me by her side, for I am needed there. I am a special wolf, Kayla. I have aided the Moon Goddess in spirit, watching over Luporath.” “Luporath?” I whispered, the name sending a shiver through me. “What do you mean?” “I am the last descendent of the lost city of Luporath,” she explained. “And thus I am its protector. Every choice you have made, even crushing the compass bracelet to keep Luporath hidden, was guided by my spirit.”

"Wow, what a charmed life she’s living—pain, suffering, heartbreak—she’s got the full package! It’s almost like the author’s personal mission was to make sure the heroine never experiences a single moment of joy. Truly inspiring.,.. very disappointing this one is really exhausting to read

Let me first say that this author has kept me coming back to read the rest of the story. However, poor Kayla… can’t she catch a break? This is one of the better books I’ve read on here, but I’m starting to get frustrated by the 2 steps forward with Nicholas and Kayla for them to take 10 steps back.

The Billionaire’s Bride

The Billionaire’s Bride

The silence was punctuated by the occasional flutter of unseen wings and the unsettling feeling of unseen eyes watching their every move. Days crawled by as they navigated through the treacherous terrain, their senses on high alert. One evening, as they huddled around a meager campfire, Kai noted a faint luminescence emanating from a distant clearing. With cautious optimism, they ventured towards the light. The clearing revealed a sight that sent chills down their spines – the ruins of an ancient city, its architecture a stark contrast to the traditional style of the guardians. Eerie statues, their expressions carved with a hint of malevolence, guarded the entrance to a colossal library

Deprived: Queen of the Outcasts

Deprived: Queen of the Outcasts

Jace whispered, his eyes wide. Before us lay a sprawling metropolis of translucent spires and floating arches. It was beautiful, but it was the beauty of a tomb. There were no lights in the windows, no smoke from chimneys. It was a city of frozen glass, preserved in a pocket of time where the wind didn't blow and the sun never set. "This is the Aethelgard," Kaelen breathed, his voice full of academic awe. "The lost capital of the First Shifters. Legend said it was swallowed by the earth during the Great Cleansing, but it wasn't swallowed. It was exiled."

Luna Of The Lost And Forgotten

Luna Of The Lost And Forgotten

Why the world believed Redward had vanished entirely. My father smiled softly at my reaction. “This final fragment of my soul remained behind to guard Redward,” he explained. “Only the lost and forgotten were ever allowed to enter.” That was why everyone here carried pain. Why broken people somehow always found their way to this place. “And now,” he continued gently, “it is your turn to protect them.” His expression darkened slightly. “The seal is weakening. Soon, Redward’s existence will resurface to the world.” A cold wind swept across the land around us, carrying silver light through the air.

Her Lost Love

Her Lost Love

Why does he sound so caring? "Since when did you start protecting me from danger, the last time I checked, you were the organizer of an attempted kidnap, you tried to kidnap me before but now you want to save me? from what exactly?" I scowled at him, my orbs boiling furiously. Like a flashback, I saw my self running through those dark empty streets to seek safety. "I was never the organizer, I'm sorry about all that, Diana. I'm a different person now I promise"

Ghost on the highway

Ghost on the highway

Pain exploded in his ribs, but he forced himself up. He had one chance. One moment. One opportunity to show the city that he was its true caretaker—not its ruler, not its tyrant, but its guardian. He pressed both hands to the cracked asphalt. The crown key vibrated violently in his pocket. Then he spoke—not to Vex, not to Wolf, not even to Luca. “I hear you,” he said, voice booming over the chaos. “I see you. I protect you!” The city answered. Lights flickered, systems stabilised briefly, barricades shifted subtly to protect civilians, and fires sputtered but didn’t spread.

The Supernaturals

The Supernaturals

Dave said to them. "You guys should keep up, I will try and get Susannah back". Dave said and ran towards Susannah with the staff in his hand. The ground suddenly opened and the keeper of the underworld came out from it. "Hello humans, it's the end of your world". The keeper said, swinging his huge sword. He was more giant than Goliath in the bible. "Go to the city keeper, destroy the whole city". Emily said to the keeper and the keeper went to the city.

Harvey York's Rise to Power

When Coco saw that her brother was still unable to fully contain his hatred, she gave it a thought before saying quietly, "You want revenge, right? There's still a way. Even if we can't make our moves directly, we can make someone else do it. "I heard that the Lost City's Knights Templar has sent an envoy to Grand City, who'll be arriving this afternoon. Because of what happened with Hawk, Harvey and Lost City are already at odds. A little nudge here and there, and they'll be at each other's throats in no time!"
