“Ten times higher than necessary. In front of everyone. For Zara.” I looked at him. This was not connected. Not really. But in his mind it had become connected. “I’m not discussing Zara with you,” I said. “That’s the problem,” he replied immediately. “Everything around her becomes—” “I said I’m not discussing Zara.” Silence again. But he wasn’t done. He leaned forward slightly now, voice tightening. “She’s my ex,” he said. “And now she’s suddenly in your world. And Keisha is pregnant. And you’re telling me the baby might not be mine. You can see how that looks.”

She giggled. Kelly lowered her voice, not wanting anyone to hear the strange conversation they were about to have, given the state of her rather unconventional marriage. “He’s actually really sweet. I mean, who would think that Jack Sutton would be so sweet, right? We have dinner together almost every night. He asks about my day…. We watch movies or T.V. after dinner. It’s really nice, right?” They paused while their sandwiches were delivered to the table. Jennie watched Kelly for a minute as if reading the emotions on her friend’s face. Her eyes were big and round and she leaned in to whisper at Kelly. “Uh oh. You’re falling for him a little aren’t you? You have a crush on your husband!”

Alpha Casmien is my Fated Mate and the traditional law reinstated favored us". I said with finality. "But, I thought Casmien was still with his girlfriend, Kelly ". "He's his Ex. But you can believe whatever you want. And back to business, I'm ready for the ad". He smiled weirdly at me before walking past him. I followed him and stood in front of the camera.

I can't speak anything else. "Really? It was him? Did you guys get back together?" She chirps. Mom is hardly excited lately and I know how badly she wanted me to end up with Kane when we were together. Even my dad. Our friends. Colleagues. Everyone. "Mom!" I let out a deep sigh. "Nothing like that. I'm just working on a project with Kane. That's it. We're just— partners" I don't hear anything from mom for a few seconds as if she's disappointed.

"Everything is fine now. Don't blame yourself too much. It all boils down to the fact that you still haven't had the time to fully understand us, but there will be time in the future, right?" Ever since that day, she had explicitly informed her parents that she had no interest in Nathan at all and she, in fact had a boyfriend she loved very much back in Nova. Of course, she had deliberately kept hidden the fact that the boyfriend was now an ex. She had no idea why she lied but she just did and only then did she know she would be lying if she said she

She prided herself on knowing everything about everyone, so she was reasonably upset when she discovered that the Boo Killian Amir had a girlfriend through a friend of a friend’s group chat. “Boyfriend?” Elyse Avian (of the florist Aviannas) asked, leaning over Eloise’s shoulder to read the messages. “Since when?”. Eloise shrugged, jostling Elyse’s head. Eloise had been sent screenshots of Estelle Cargill (of the orthopedic hospital Cargill’s) I*******m group chat talking about one of the most single most eligible bachelor in Calabasas. The messages contained posts from Killian’s Amir private account, one of which was a rather sweet image of Amir and an unknown woman, who the chat speculated

“One person's gonna die…..I might have to teach that asshole a lesson.” He stormed out and I didn't waste time going after him. “Elliot, wait!” I ran after him stopping when he stopped to look at me on the stairs. “Do you see what's happening to me? Someone's out there trying to break me. Me, Elliot Marcel. Fuck and it's your boyfriend.” I give him a confused look. “What? No. It's not Trevor and it can't possibly be him.” “Then who?” “Kehlani. From the ElliotExposed posts, all that shit looks personal. No one knows me well enough except you and Trevor. Is this payback?”

Mayeli sat on Killian's bed, wondering what was wrong with him. She peered through her phone idly for a while, waiting for him. After a while, she thought of going to knock on the bathroom door to ask if he was okay since he was taking too long. She was about to stand up from the bed when her eyes caught a message that had just flashed on his phone. “My last night was great, thanks to you. I still have your exotic scent on my body”. —Emma. Emma? Mayeli gasped. Emma was Killian's ex, the only woman he had dated after Mayeli and the woman he still had a little bit of feelings for.

Felicity picked up the pastry and ate it as she asked, "Stella, isn't Spencer your ex-boyfriend whom you dated for two weeks before you guys broke up?" Stella did not answer. Felicity confirmed her suspicions after seeing her reaction. "Ah hah! I knew it! There's no way you would forget him since we've only graduated not too long ago, especially since he's so good-looking." Stella sighed. "Please don't say anything about this in front of Keegan, or he'll get upset."

“Holy cow, that is so exciting! You have a boyfriend. I wish I had one. Now I’m the odd man out.” I clear my throat and point the finger at my chest. “What am I? Chopped liver?” Haley frowns. “Well, you have Kell. He’s your boyfriend, isn’t he?” I shake my head. “No. Kell is not my boyfriend. And before you start your squeal parade, he and I never had sex. I was legitimately sick last night, and he was taking care of me.” Haley’s face falls. “What? No...he has to ask you. Maybe he’s waiting until later.”
