Keqing X Aether Novels & Stories

The land thriving. And always, in every version, Ethan fading from my side. Not dead. Removed. The bond severed. Clean. Surgical. The Crown offers balance without cruelty. Order without grief. Just emptiness. My knees threaten to buckle, but I force myself upright. I won’t kneel. Not to it. Not now. Ethan steps closer, ignoring Blake’s shouted warning, his massive wolf form shifting back into human skin in a blur of motion. He grips my shoulders, eyes blazing, desperate.

“She’s supposed to be dead,” Aether continued saying repeatedly, his voice barely a whisper. “I buried her myself.” I turned to face him, my voice growing tense. “Then how is she here, alive?” He had no answers, so he didn’t respond to me. His gaze was fixed on the girl who had once earned his trust and also shattered his world. Ceryn stepped closer to me, her lips painted red with lipstick, as she brazenly stared right into my eyes

Like the moon itself had poured into my veins. And then I felt it. Eyes. Burning into me from across the clearing. Kael. He stood there, human again, dark hair damp with sweat, chest rising and falling like he’d run a thousand miles. His jaw was steel, his fists clenched at his sides, but his eyes… Saints, his eyes were molten. Gold threaded with storm. The way he looked at me made my breath hitch. Like I was something dangerous. Something his soul couldn’t decide whether to kill—or claim.

Luna Kira chewed her lips at this. “Yes, I heard Dr Serena say you almost died in the process, I want to know, Luna Kira,” I insisted again. “I want to know all about it.” Luna Kira sighed. “Firstly, proper title is Alpha Queen,” Luna Kira corrected me, and I nodded. I have heard of it, I was just not used to addressing a Luna as Alpha Queen. “And…” she trailed off. “Please, it will help me understand princess,” I insisted again.

Keva’s father and brothers didn’t speak and I was too stunned to utter a word or move. “Now that you are Alpha, will you let me become your mate again?” Ethan asked and it was at that moment I found my strength again. “We can start over.” Jerking from Carter and Silas, I rushed forward and pulled Keva away from Ethan. “She is my mate!”

Qykerth chuckled and turned his head, helping him breathe. Queseon looked at him asking, “Explain yourself.” He shook his head as he lay down beside him. Running his finger down Queseon’s nose to his lips. “L=N is a being from a different world. She is beyond our years and thus can do many things. We only needed to win the group competition for the prizes. The emperioc isn’t common in her world and thus we have come this far. Now we are here.” Queseon placed his hand against Qykerth’s face and pushed him away, “You speak too much for a dead person.”

A group of initiates nearby paused, their white eyes flickering as they processed the "In-efficient Acoustic Event." "Voices are for emergencies," Vara signaled, a hint of her old self breaking through the indigo haze of her thoughts. "Why use the air when you can use the Aether?" "Because the air belongs to us," Kael muttered. "The Aether belongs to them." The Glitch in the Hallows

"Revenge, my dear. Pure, unadulterated revenge. Seraphina wronged me long before she ever crossed your path." Orion frowned. "But what makes you think she won't double-cross you? She's known for her cunning and deceit." Malachi's voice grew cold, "Because this time, I have something she desperately wants." He extended his hand, revealing a small, shimmering vial filled with a liquid that seemed to pulse with life. "The Essence of Aether." Liora gasped. The Essence of Aether was a legend — a potion rumored to amplify a person's powers tenfold.

The Athenian Senate and the Cosmic Council convened to strategize on harnessing the power of the Astral Keystone. As the joint empire embarked on a cosmic quest to restore balance, they encountered celestial beings known as the Luminar Ascendants. Conversations with these ethereal entities revealed cosmic rituals that could amplify the potency of the Astral Keystone. The Harmonious Conclave, their cosmic chants resonating through the realms, conducted ceremonies to imbue the artifact with celestial energies.

"The Lions will be pulling their perimeters tight around the upper aristocratic sectors to protect the Guild Masters. If you can reach the Gutters, Rook and her Junkers will hide you." "We can't get to the Gutters without you, fish-boy," Kaira laughed, a wet, ragged sound. "We don't have a map, and my brace is half-melted again. You need to climb back up." Before Ren could answer, the green light on the console violently flashed back to crimson. A massive spike of localized Aether completely hijacked the frequency. The connection to Kaira’s data-slate was forcefully severed, replaced by a deep, resonant hum that vibrated the very steel of the drop-pod.
