They didn’t see me. My eyes blurred. My heart cracked open.

Killian’s POV My eyes fluttered open to the sound of crickets and birds chirping softly outside. The sky through the window was still dim, painted in that greyish-blue color just before sunrise. I muffled a yawn, shifting a little, but then paused when I felt something warm and soft wrapped around my waist. That was when I looked beside me and saw Selene. Her arm was draped across my torso like she’d done it all her life. She was still asleep, her mouth slightly open, breathing evenly. Nor am I certain the story I want to tell warrants a full-length novel. Bearing all that in mind, I've decided to continue Rhett and Brynlee's story here in the form of a novella, which will start serializing tomorrow.
