I merely observed their behavior, as any unpopular person would do. Okay, that wasn't true. I was popular; I was Autumn Summers' best friend. To the world, it probably meant nothing since she wasn't a pop star or anything like that. But in Carlton High, it was everything. She was the daughter of Thornton Summers, one of the richest business tycoons in the states. Her mother was the famous newscaster on CNN, Ava Summers, and her brother, Steven, was an actor. The whole family screamed popular social ladder. However, that wasn't the reason I befriended her.

"Can Homer provide you with a wedding like that? Oh, but the real question is, will Homer even propose to you?" Kendra didn't utter a response as she exhaled heavily through her nose, her glare directed at me filled with animosity. "Oh, you need not respond to that..." I smirked at her. "You look pale. I don't want you to pass out..." Kendra's mouth formed a tight, straight line. Her grip on the glass tightened, her hand trembling. Finally, she said, "Don't disclose to anyone that you are from the Summers Family. It would be such an embarrassment for me if they knew you were my stepsister!"

She will cut you with that mouth of hers. “I know who I am. I am Cassidy London Summers. I am the daughter of Hope and Jennifer Summers. I am the best friend of Riko Shiraishi. I am the girl that will kick your ass if you mess with my friend or what is hers again.” Cassidy snorted. “Was she always this hot?” I whispered. Forrest snickered and shook his head. “No. And she’s still not hot. But then again, every other girl stopped existing when I met Riko.” He shrugged.

Whether I was happy or not, I didn’t have an answer, but I was living freely. I had no plans to undergo treatment, so I treated every single day as if it were my last. I stayed up late binge‑watching shows, trying thrilling games, and eating junk food as if without a care. I did everything I never dared to do before, as if making up for an entire lifetime at once. That was, until my best friend Willow Andrews returned from studying abroad. Instead of going home first, she came straight to my place, dragging her suitcase behind her. After seeing me, she gave me a once‑over, then locked eyes with me and asked, “Sadie, are you sick?”

I say. “I’m Kaylee. She’s Kendra,” Kaylee says. Since one is wearing a pink shirt and one is wearing a yellow one, I make note of who is who. “Are you a strong fighter?” Kendra asks Rhett. “My Dad just started training me this summer,” he says. “How old are you?” Kaylee asks, looking appalled. “I’m four,” he says. “And he just started training you?” Kendra asks, looking outraged. “Aren’t you the Alpha heir?” Kaylee asks.

She stared at him, intently. “One crazy summer, he exchanged with my place. I was delighted to be free of Cedric’s wrath and Caiden was delighted to meet all of you. He became obsessed of being outside and not only that, he was also obsessed of you.” I bowed down and couldn’t help but clutch my head as I remember those summers I spend with Alex. Did I really do all this with her? Am I really that romantic as a child? I guess, even if I lose all my memory, I am still sweet. I continue listening to my twin and can’t help but bite the straps of my bag so as to endure the pain on my head.

Summer said slowly. She wasn't bluffing. The moment she learned of Claudia's surname, she remembered an old news article about Kristen. "25 years ago, a woman jumped to her death, Dorothy Simms. Who was she to you?" Summer slowly walked forward and asked as she looked Claudia right in the eyes.

His cousin sat next to him. "Ladies and gentlemen if you would please turn your attention here." A man stood up and said, hitting his fork on his glass cup. All eyes turned to him. "Unfortunately," he continued. "Mr. Adam couldn't make it in time so here we have Miss Vanessa Cartwell to end up her speech on Kids. Don't forget the voice might be different but the words are Mr. Adam's," he added. "What utter nonsense!" Adam turned to his cousin angrily. He hadn't written anything of the sort. He attempted to stand and protest but Tyson pulled him back discreetly to his seat.
