“If Dain doesn’t release you, people are going to die tonight.” The words hit like a thunderclap. The air itself seemed to recoil, heavy with the scent of imminent violence. Soren’s lungs seized. There was no bluff in that tone, no hesitation. This man had walked into the alley ready to kill. The blue sparks arched across Killian's skin, and he collapsed to the grass, his muscles spasming in uncontrollable agony.

The idea of raising my hand to strike the Russian Pakhan was completely insane.

I dropped the bombshell as I grin like a maniac. “You won’t dare allow that knife touch me or you’ll kiss goodbye to your immortal life.” “How do you feel threatening somebody that you can’t even kill.“ I questioned her. “I can’t kill you doesn’t mean I won’t try.” I shrugged. “I won’t mind watching you try, it is going to be fun.“ “If I eventually get bored of the fun then I’ll just kill you; so enjoy your killing skills while it last.” “I can’t wait to get to where you are standing so I can stab you and I’ll make you feel ten times of the pain that you felt.“
