"Whatever. Since you treated me pretty well these past few years, I'll make your death quick. I won't let you die miserably like your sister did." Adrian gripped the silver blade tighter and moved closer, step by deliberate step. The knife in his hand was the same one he'd used to kill me. "Want to know what your sister's final moments looked like?" Adrian's smile twisted into something manic. "Right here in this room. I cut off her limbs one by one so she couldn't shift and run. My brothers stood around watching her struggle, and I've got to say—your sister had guts."

Her next words nearly give me a heart attack. “There are two things, actually. Sebastian and I got married in Vegas two days ago.” My stomach drops. “What?!” “There was nothing I could do, Loriah.” She cries. “He brought it up and I couldn’t dissuade him. He paused, letting the ominous name sink into the minds of the quiet crowd. "They do not operate like normal rogues. They move secretly from pack to pack, leaving nothing but piles of bodies in their wake. They have the numbers, they have the weapons, and most terrifyingly, they possess the power to take down a True Alpha. As of today, they have already murdered ten powerful Alphas."

“If you dare hang around that Tony kid again, I’ll break your legs.” My heartbeat stalled. So fierce. Could Tony have been right? I stared at Leon’s face close to mine, and a chilling image flashed through my mind. The brothers weren't the villains in my story. They were protectors who risked their lives fighting things most people didn't believe existed. But that didn't answer the question of who killed Tommy or why. We reached the access road and waited in silence. I watched the brothers move around each other with practiced ease, cleaning weapons and discussing the hunt like it was routine. "Does it ever bother you?" I asked quietly. "Killing things that used to be human?"

She turned her head and locked her eyes on the two elder brothers. On the contrary, Big Brother Diaz and Second Brother Diaz were relieved. They were happy to see their younger brother escape successfully despite being injured. It was not a bad ending. Big Brother Diaz looked at Kendra. "Pretty babe, you—" Before he could finish talking, Kendra grabbed her sword tightly and stabbed it directly in his chest. There was no time for him to react. A hole appeared in his chest as blood poured out. His body dropped to the floor, and he was dead.

His green tee was almost brown as he bled from different places on his body. "Who will say you two are the future leaders of the pack? Look at your faces! Rogues out there are far better than you. They fight each other but when they encounter danger... They make a team." Alpha Killian descended down the stairs onto the gravel path and shoved them back. "The show you guys just put on clearly says that you will kill each other first if a war arises! Our enemies won't have to do a thing because you both will just make their work easier." He seethed, his alpha aura forcing them down on their knees.
