Today was different, though.
Today, someone sat next to me in Child Psychology. A guy I hadn’t seen before. He smelled faintly like mint and wore a soft grey hoodie, hood halfway down his neck, curls just messy enough to look intentional.
"Hey," he said, voice casual, confident. "You’re Kim, right?"
I froze, startled that he knew my name. “Uh… yeah.”
He grinned, dimples flashing. “Professor mentioned your name last week when you talked about trauma recovery. That was… brave.”
