The sight of them together was enough to silence the crowd, the air thick with awe and reverence.
“I present to you, my son. Our heir,” I announced, my voice filled with pride. “Leo.”
The crowd erupted once more, the cheers almost deafening. Some stood, clapping and shouting their congratulations, while others bowed their heads in respect. Lyra’s father remained seated, his expression unreadable as he stared at his daughter and grandson. I couldn’t tell if it was pride, guilt, or something else entirely, but I made a mental note to keep an eye on him.
