Once Upon a Tryst
He is the king who was promised.
Six horsemen stand blocking the way to our freedom. Arthur is glowing like a jewel, burning brightly as if lit from within by a flame of bright blue light, Excalibur in his hand. He is draped in the robes of his station, his family crest etched in red upon his chest. The knights before us take a step back, moving away from the glow, fear shining in their black eyes, still completely overcome by the curse. Kay is the only one not fleeing, the curse having already receded from them from my intervention.
My power, however, is finite. I do not have enough to cure all of the knights and as it is, Kay could fall once again, easily, to Queen Mab’s power. We must be
