King Of Hearts Descendants Novels & Stories

It's not a fairytale ending, because there will always be trouble lurking. We are in the business of organized crime, after all, but we'll solve it together like the family we are, like a pack of wolves, because now they have me, the missing ace of hearts in their perfect imperial flush. They have me and I have them. The wolf brothers, my husbands. And I couldn't have wished for a better future. END

“You mean me?” I nod my head as I reply. “Yes, I mean you, Dylan, since the moment I first met you, there was something so familiar about you, right down to the powers that we both hold. You are my little brother, the brother that I never knew I had, and you are also A Dragon Shifter and Prince of the Dragon Kingdom. We are the Royal Heirs of the Dragon Realm, and Anna is carrying the next generation. This is why we must find this stone; without the blessing of the Dragon heart, Anna will never wake up, and the next royal heir will never be born."

Without hesitation, the entire gala went on its knees, bowing to me. I looked all around me, fully taking in the scene and the power which I now held. Ronan urged me forward. I approached the Goddess. Surprisingly, I did not cower or shrink back in her presence. Instead, I felt peace and oneness. She placed a crown on my head. The crown sat upon my head like the weight of galaxies. “I hereby crown you, Aria Valenhart, Descendant of the Moon, Daughter of the Moon Goddess, Queen of the Lycanthropy” The Goddess’ voice rang out like a cruel lullaby. Soft, yet fierce.

Two years ago, Purple Hearts—the sole heiress to Hearts of Jewels, one of the world’s most lucrative luxury conglomerates—walked down the aisle to marry Alex Hawthorne, a man whose reputation preceded him like a storm cloud. Cold-hearted, reckless, and a notorious playboy spoiled by generational wealth, he was everything her family warned her against. But Purple saw none of it.

You are not my descendant. Terror gripped me. "What are you saying?" The Queen looked heartbroken. "I am you." The ground vanished beneath my feet and my mind refused to accept it, refused to understand, but the truth continued. "My soul was divided." Tears filled her eyes. "Scattered through time." The impossible suddenly made terrible sense. The visions, the powers, the mark, the Hollow Kings recognizing me. Not descendant. Queen. Because they weren't looking at a descendant. They were looking at her, reborn.

But in my arrogance, I failed to see the truth: I had become her worst nightmare. Jacob sat in stunned silence, the weight of Lois’s confession and my unspoken truths sinking in. His gaze was fixed on me, searching for something—an explanation, perhaps—but I had nothing to give him. "She’s the Mad King’s descendant," Jacob finally said, his voice barely above a whisper. "And you… you knew all along?" I nodded, unable to meet his gaze. The implications of her bloodline hung heavy between us. Everyone knew what the Mad King’s descendants were capable of—the terrifying powers of compulsion that ran in their veins.

It was coming from the heart itself, its malicious energy radiating in waves. “Why don’t you disappear already?” Damon hissed. The heart’s voice chuckled darkly. “How many times must I explain this? I will leave the day my master reclaims me.” “Who’s your master?” I asked, stepping forward. “The new king of the dark,” it whispered, its voice dripping with malice. “That’s impossible,” I growled. “The last king—Ravengrim—was banished to the abandoned vortex. He’s as good as dead.”

“So that is why my Lycan’s Royal power mixed with hers the first time I touched her after I had rescued her.” Zachariah’s eyes go wide as this information makes a little more sense to him and is obviously something that I missed. “You are a Royal Lycan?” “Yes, I just found out that I am the last descendant of King Darius and Queen Mira’s firstborn.” “But isn’t King Malik the last descendant?” “Of King Darius and Queen Mira’s first Lycan born, yes. I am, however, the last descendant of their very first pup, the one that Mira conceived while she was still human…”

"Do you wanna go up and get some rest?" "I think we need to figure out... all of this first," I say, motioning to the things we looted from the mansion. "The family tree... we did figure out that something is amiss. Tristan is nowhere near there, unless he's not using his real name." "All the younger generation kids are females," Carlos points out. "Tabitha is the next in line, a direct descendant of the throne. Marsha and Priscilla are the cousins. They are not marked dead here. So I don't know. I feel like Tristan could be using a fake name but that doesn't confirm that he's part of the family tree."

I took a breath In and out before preparing to speak. "Today, the king and queen were taken from this kingdom," I started "but I am still here. I am the daughter of the Fireheart of Eldrador and the direct descent of the first Fireheart, Isabella Fireheart. And it is my duty to rule over this great kingdom. And I promise that I will do my best." The entire room erupts in a round of applause. I turned around to the crown's man and let his men wear the rings on my fingers before he made me say the royal vow and he placed the crown on my head.
