Today was one of those warm winter days when a cardigan was safe for an outing, the grass was less frosty and damp, and the trees were more radiant than most days. “Are the love adventures not so adventurous today?” I turned on my seat, coming face-to-face with Queen Shekinah in all her glory. My eyes zeroed on the book and I shut it with a soft sigh. I hadn't realised that I was completely zoned out and staring into space. “It is more of a memoir than a romantic story,” I said, running my hand on the back cover. “Hmm… what is it about?” The queen asked, making herself home on the chair next to mine.

I exclaimed, twirling on my feet, my eyes sparkling with excitement. The king walked towards me, his long strides devouring the distance. He took the book from my hands, his fingers brushing against mine. "Indeed it does," he murmured, his voice low and soothing. "It's a story book." "A story book?" I repeated, my voice filled with longing. "I wish I could read it..." I trailed off, picking up other books as well and flipping through their pages. They all had pictures in them, and that made me incredibly happy.

A small, strained sigh escaped her lips as she tentatively opened the book. The first words that caught her eye made her breath hitch, and she could feel tears pricking at the corner of her eyes. 'I still get butterflies even though I've seen you a hundred times.' Sophia could feel her heartbeat slow down as she read through the pages, each word reminding her of a beautiful past she had ruined with her own hands. Every morning, Luke would send her those cute texts, bringing a smile to her face as she read them and she made sure to write down each one he sent.

My stomach twisted in knots when I heard the music playing in the background. Everyone in front of me gave me reassuring smiles as I held Kianna's hand, walking down the flowery aisle. Gunnar stood on the stony altar with the new priestess, wearing a black and golden shirt and pants. He looked every bit the king he was, powerful and confident. His eyes softened with love when he saw me. I felt my cheeks heat under his gaze, but the next second, he stepped down from the altar and walked to me. I felt a slight tug to my left, and headed over to the bookshelves in that direction. I did not make it far before I saw a book laying out on a small table, as if it had been placed there especially for me. For days now, she continued reading 'Heart of Fire', finding it hard to put down, taking it everywhere and not paying so much attention to everything or disturbing her servants with questions as she used to. This wasn't just because of how interesting the book was but because of the King's comments that was thrown here and there in the book. Those were the ones that kept her the most interested. Some of the comments she would argue against, some she would laugh about, and some she would nod her head in agreement, like he was right there in front of her, talking to her as they read the book together.
