Blair hissed through clenched teeth, shoving forward. Celeste’s grip tightened around Blair’s wrist. “You never had the right to touch it.” She twisted, flipping Blair over her shoulder. The impact cracked the floor. Blair coughed, rolled, and threw a charm stone that burst in a puff of white fire. Celeste shielded her face, the heat licking her arm. Through the smoke, Blair’s smile gleamed, cruel and gleeful. “You think you’re special because you were chosen?” she spat. “You’re nothing but a mistake.”

Like the out of control lovers they were, they both huffed for air. A slow devilish grin broke out on those just kissed male lips. “You are becoming bolder and naughtier, my sweet piece of Kandy.” Finally, she got her breathing under control and her heart to a better pace. “It’s all—your dammed fault in the first dammed—place.” His eyes widened. “What? I didn’t do—?” She placed her fingers on his lips. “You don’t have to do a damn thing. Just lay there like a vegetable or walk into a room, or smile. Or, close your eyes and stand still! Too dammed yummy and sexy to be allowed out in public, I say!”

The movement on my ring finger had me looking away from his face and staring at my hand, he was pushing a silver ring into my finger and it fit perfectly as if he had bought it, especially for me. What was happening? Are we getting married? My eyes scanned his but he didn't give anything away. Then he pulled out a blade, carefully unwrapping it from its covers, he gazed into my eyes but this time, his face was without a smile. "Give me your thumb." And just like that, I handed my thumb over to him. He could ask me to take a knife to my heart at this very moment and I was certain I would do it first then ask questions later.

Blue sparks emerged wherever she touched and as if by magic, all his pain seemed to recede away, as if it was never there in the first place ! “Thank you, Alpha Stone,” Rowland’s louder and healthier Beta voice rang out but he still made no attempt to get off me. Guess his body was still weak and reeling under the pain of rejection, so I did not say anything. The great Alpha Zoe Stone nodded her head at him with a smile and looked back in front to gauge the situation ahead. The Diamond Heart Pack’s warriors dexterously warded off the first batch of the army of rogues but the ranks across the wide waterfall were still broken.

But for me, I needed to stare at Kane in the eyes. Look into the eyes of the man who thinks he take the kingdom from me without his head hanging on a spike. “Keep calm,” I could practically hear Blair’s voice echoing through the back of my mind. “Lycan King,” Stone spoke up for the first time. “Changing the plans now, I fear that we are heading for doom,” he muttered, a feigned look of concern written across his face. Good. Doom is the path you have already been heading to right from the moment you set on this track.

Their relationship had become estranged, as it had with the other members of his twisted family. The second he returned, his golden knights informed him that the queen had confessed to murdering a grey dragon descendant. They told him the woman seemed to have had a direct connection with the lost princess of the Stormy Clan, and that the case Eros was blamed for might be overturned. Too many questions formed in Dagen’s mind. He would ask Eros, but first, he wanted to see his mother. Finally, he worked up the courage to enter the chamber. The whole room had been sealed with solid walls made of Frost Stone. The stone was produced in the northern kingdom, and it was the natural enemy of the dra

In a moment of realization, he loosens his grip, a wave of regret washing over him as he acknowledges, "My sincere apologies. I hadn't realized I was truly stifling you. Did I hurt you?" Teasingly, she quips, "No, you didn't. Have I managed to evoke tears from the almighty Alpha King?" Astrid delicately employs her fingertips to whisk away the trails of tears cascading down his cheeks. With fervor in his eyes, Blaze declares, "You underestimate the lengths I would go for you, Astrid. I would set the world ablaze for you and annihilate anyone daring to harm you. I would vanquish them all without hesitation. Their demise would be swift and thorough."

Mia stuttered, he grinned and pulled her again in his arms. "It's okay babygirl, I love you and your wolf." The door was slammed, Mia brother Jayden comes in with a loud knock. "Mia!" He yelled frantically but when he saw the Alpha of the Blood Stone pack, his face turned pale and his lips shivered. "I am so sorry Alpha Blaze." He bowed, avoiding his glare. Blaze wanted to growl at him but Mia put a hand on his arms and smiles at him. "He's my brother." She said and gives a small grin to her brother, he replied with a smile but then bowed when he saw again his glare directed toward him.

Upon lifting my eyes to him, his lips just made its way to my lips. This is not the first time Parker made me feel this secured. This is not the first time his lips landed to mine and it gave me the same feeling I felt that day our lips met each other. The butterfly in my stomach, the abnormal throbbing of my heart and the sudden sweat my skin have been releasing. I think I finally found the answer. There's no reason to hide it anymore. This guy, named Parker Wingston is the same guy my heart is beating for. When our lips parted, both of our eyes were locked to each other. Parker smiled which caused me to make a soft chuckle.

With every step, the flames seemed to intensify, threatening to consume us. But as we reached the heart of the abyss, the flames started to recede, revealing a pedestal on which rested the Heartstone, its facets reflecting our journey and the trials we'd overcome. As Seraphina reached out to claim it, Aeloria's voice echoed one last time, "Remember, the Heartstone is not just a token. It's a testament to your journey, your growth, and the love that binds you."
