Tangerine and Uno crept forward, ready to strike. But before they could attack, Ethero turned around, a sinister smile on his face. "I've been expecting you," he said. Tangerine and Uno exchanged a worried glance. Had Kira betrayed them? Suddenly, a figure appeared behind Ethero. It was Kira. "I'm sorry, Ethero," she said. "But I can no longer stand by and watch as you destroy everything in your path." With a flick of her wand, Kira sent Ethero flying across the room. He landed with a thud, unconscious.

She’s overwhelmed with too much right now, and I don’t want to push her. Veronica King seems like a girl with more than just one story, and I plan to know every single one. Kira's fingers trembled around it. "Let them chant," she whispered, her voice shaking now. "Let them scream her name." Her lips curled. "They'll forget." She raised the relic. The moment it caught the light— something snapped. It tore through the room like a shockwave. Kira screamed. A raw, broken sound as blood burst from her mouth, spilling down her chin, staining her dress. Her knees buckled. For a second—I thought she would collapse, end it right there. But she didn't.

Kira's mind was consumed as she thought of the worst. Rosalie opened the sunroof and climbed up. Cole slowly follows and sits on the roof. Both watch the skyline as Rosalie dials her dad for the hundredth time. Eventually, Kira stands up. A layer of ash rolls off of her as she moves. In silence, she opens the rear doors of the cargo van. Pulling out blankets and some snacks. "Mrs. Kira…" Rosalie appears to her left. Wearing a look of shame and fear. "I'm really sorry about-"

The movement startled me and I jerked back instinctively, my elbow knocking into Kira. Her phone and a glass of water hit the floor with a sharp crash. “Shit… I’m so sorry,” I said immediately, crouching to pick it up. Her phone's screen was cracked, spiderweb lines spreading across it. The file she was also previously holding was now soaked wet with the water that poured on it. Oh, what have I done? “I didn’t mean to,” I added awkwardly. “I’ll replace it.” Kira hesitated, glancing at Damian before answering. “It’s a pack-issued phone, Luna. It’s old, so repairing it should be fine.” She said and I nodded.

The door swung open to reveal him in a pair of sleep pants and nothing else. "Yes, Princess?", he asked as he opened the door wider to let her in. "I know this is a weird question but can I crash on your couch?", She asked. He looked her over as he could plainly see she was beyond exhausted and ready to fall over. "Problems with your place?", he asked. "They are there, and they won't leave.", she stated. "Who are they exactly?", he asked as she sat on the couch. "My team.", she said. "The east coast main blue team."

Rebecca whispered when realization dawned on her. Her legs trembled as she forced herself up. Axel. Her chest tightened so hard she thought she would suffocate. “Kira!” she shouted again. A cough answered her. Kira pushed herself up from the ground, blood running from a cut on her forehead. Her eyes were wide. Shocked, and terror.
