Katana stood at the front, with only two other women at her side.
They were no longer in their furred, creature-like nymph forms I had first seen deep within the forest. Instead, they had taken on their more familiar appearance—skin a warm caramel tone, their features soft yet striking, their presence almost blending into the forest itself. They wore forest warrior attire, fitted and layered in natural tones of green and brown, designed to move silently through the trees. If I hadn’t known where to look, I might have missed them entirely.
Corin stepped forward before anyone else could speak. Then, without hesitation, his hand reached back for mine.
