I elbowed him, laughing as I tried to wriggle away, only to have him nuzzle into the crook of my neck.
“You’re impossible,” I whispered.
“And you,” he murmured against my skin, “are glowing.”
“I should be,” I said dramatically, “I’ve just returned from a two-week honeymoon in the Maldives, where my husband barely let me sleep, eat, or breathe without kissing me.”
“I was romantic!”
“You were ravenous.”
He smirked, biting his lower lip as his hand slid teasingly over my barely-there kaftan. “Can you blame me? My wife turns me into a madman.”
