My silver sparked in answer, thrumming through the bond, urging me to take, to burn, to belong.
He kissed like he fought—fierce, relentless, unyielding. My hands tangled in his hair, pulling him closer, desperate to feel every inch of him against me. His grip tightened on my waist, lifting me easily until my back pressed against the wall.
“You’re shaking,” he murmured between kisses, his lips trailing down the column of my throat.
